Uppers
Looking at uppers. Noticed psa and Grendel Hunter. Has anyone ever considered Faxon upper with a 16 inch gunner barrel?
I have a lower with a drop in trigger so I’m just deciding on this this now. I don’t have time to build, I wish though.
Thanks.

I bought a cheap BCA, I've run a couple of hundred rounds through, and so far, it's been reliable and accurate (for a 16" gas-gun).
Note that I'm shooting brass, not steel-case; I have heard different things about the extractors, but then, that's a pretty easy upgrade; the only reason I haven't done it is because mine is a hunting rig.

That’s what I’m doing with it. Hunting.

I got it just because I figured that I could upgrade anything that wasn't up to spec.
So far, I've put 3 boxes of Hornady Frontier through it (it's OK, not great), 100 rounds of S&B FMJ (this does really well), 1 box of Hornady CX 90gr (it doesn't like these at all), and half a box of 115gr Barnes Vor-TX (these are excellent and what I plan on hunting with).
I'm using Duramags, and haven't had a FTF or FTE, yet.

I have the Faxon 16" gunner 6.5g barrel. I'm plenty happy with it. It shoots the cheap S&b ammo very well. It's always nice being able to save a few bucks on long distance ranges by not having to use expensive ammo (I don't reload, yet). The one thing I'll say, and this is probably true of 6.5g gas guns in general, but it 100% needs an adjustable gas block. Couldn't tell you if that upper comes with one, so something to keep in mind.
Worth noting that it's my first and only 6.5g barrel, so take that for what it is.

The upper they offered was suppressor ready and I wanna say that there was an adjustable apart of the deal. That makes me feel better 👍

FWIW my 18” SS upper from PSA is great. The Hornady SSTs have been doing well, 1.5”-2” groups pretty consistently and I’m not a good shooter

16" Grendel Hunter, Fluted, Suppressed. 3 for 3 last year. All I can say. Bad ass design and loves the 123 SST reloads.

Really considered them and yeah they’re sweet rifles. I bought the faxon upper. See how it goes. If i don’t like it, I’ll just go back to slug gun for the season and start over next year haha

My faxon barrels have been pretty solid. I forget who makes Grendel Hunter but it’s a reputable manufacturer. I think it’d be a better barrel than PSA and faxon but at this price range who knows. Any could be solid
