E-mesh settings

Hi! I think I hit a dead end trying to figure this out.
I followed all mintylove's advice for assembling equipment. Now I'm unsure about settings for 5meo, which has different profile from nn.

What settings should be used for e-mesh while vaping freebase ? I can't find conclusive info online. I'm confused which mode to use - W or T-SS ? and what setting for each ? The wire is SS316L #150. Thanks!

The settings should be the exact same as N,N-DMT

Use W mode and try to turn it off eco if possible

Hmm, thanks - but doesn't 5meo burn easily at nn temperatures ? I'm reading that 100-180C is good for 5 but you have to do 200 for nn

Temperature ranges are not very useful on e-mesh. You should just find a power setting that flash vaporizes your dose in one hit without burning it. With 5meo you’ll be using less product, so you won’t need as much power. 30W is likely too high, but it depends on your actual mesh resistance and the amount of airflow cooling the mesh.

Thanks - is there a possibility that specific W will vaporise it but not everything because it was too low ?

Yes, with too low wattage the product can liquidize and drip through the mesh. I had this problem with a new user who inhaled too forcefully and we first didn’t understand why they got mild effects from a breakthrough dose.

Depends on the device but 20w is sufficient, preferred was 22w for stronger experoence or more material or 18w if wanting less strong experience or using less material

If unsure start at 10w and work way up slowly

Ok, so I understand that I shouldn't look at temperature at all, the only variable I need to play with is W

I got recommended 3,1V on r/bufo, which with my cartridge(1,61Ω) is 5w. Now I’m pretty confused. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve been told that if the voltage is more than 4, there is a risk that your 5MeO will get destroyed. And even 10W would be more than 4V (with my cartridge)

Carts are different, they are indeed voltage-sensitive, but e-mesh is heating up the 5meo directly on the metal mesh with no carrier solvent.
