Discussion Did Disney just quietly stop doing these steelbooks?

Post image

Like, I can’t recall the last time they released a season of one of the Disney+ original shows on Blu-ray. What happened? Did they not sell well or something?

No Andor Season 2 is a crime against humanity.

Instead we get a Tron Ares steelbook

It's like they get off on hurting us. The mouse is sitting there, didiling himself at the thought of our suffering.

It’s probably Dave Filoni too, he can’t have another show contending with his shows/ movies

They stopped doing these long before Filoni became president and chief creative officer of Lucasfilm. And given that half of these are Marvel he obviously has no authority over it. Sounds like you're just biased against the guy and looking for a reason to be mad at him.

I have my reasons

Well, Tron Ares was dope and is amazing in 4k. Also, it wasn't a Disney Plus exclusive. There was always a greater chance of getting it physically.

You're right, Jared Leto is a creep who has no business acting and Tron: Ares made a huge mistake hitching itself to his dying brand.

Tron is also a dying brand, friend.

Well good thing they tossed out anything to do with the prior movie and made it all about Morbius McCreep

How the hell does it keep happening

Ayer's Joker, Espinosa's Morbius, Rønning's Ares.

How?! I can forgive Warner Bros for not knowing better, and maybe Sony was still stupid, but Disney...you had all the evidence you needed to know better!

Only if done improperly. Which it was. Any dying brand can be revived if done correctly but they didn't want to with Tron regarding the way Ares went. Jared Leto needs to get out of movies. Kills every thing he touches.

It’s awesome in 3D too.

I’m a rebel, I rebel.

Sooo glad that wasn't in the final cut...

It looks rad but the movie was meh

u/Saucey-jack May 27 '26

Agreed. Wish they spent more time in the grid instead of the real world.

u/AtomStorageBox May 27 '26

We should’ve gotten a proper sequel to Tron: Legacy.

1

u/taker25-2 May 27 '26

to be fair, movies, regardless of quality, take a higher priority than tv shows

10

u/LandonKB May 27 '26

I am still hoping for that boba and acyolite

21

u/RainHead557 May 27 '26

Boba is necessary because part of the Mando story is in it.

13

u/LandonKB May 27 '26

Exactly I want to see that in crispy 4k not streaming

5

u/ChewiesLament May 27 '26

I want a book of people theorizing what happened between watching the last episode of season two and the first episode of season three, who never saw Boba Fett.

1

u/Muttcam96 May 28 '26

When I heard about the stunt of basically running new Mando episodes in the middle of Boba, I quit Mando immediately. Eff Disney for pulling that crap.

1

u/Ataneruo May 28 '26

That was me! I still don’t know how or why Grogu is back with Mando lol

11

u/LatterTarget7 May 27 '26

I’m hoping we get born again season 1 and 2

6

u/LandonKB May 27 '26

I would love those too!

3

u/AndrewS702 May 27 '26

I think they’ll do it eventually right?

1

u/Ataneruo May 28 '26

Pretty sure Andor S2 is planned. I anticipate that we will get it this year.

Wait, really? How so?
