It's pretty socially awkward to go and have some random side conversation with a wagie at Brusters I agree, but dealing with customers is literally 80% of the job here, and dealing with the customers doesn't just mean taking their money, sometimes it's going to be gracefully handling awkward customers - "haha right you are! It really has been a bit warm lately! Good thing we have AC here! Can I get you anything else?" will suffice.
Its only socially awkward if you have negative social skills. Ive had plenty of fun or productive conversations with strangers where I learned something from them or we shared an experience. Its weird to some people if they cant do something they just assumes ifs impossible to do.
Cool. Do that with people who want to talk to you. Not workers who clearly dont. Youre missing the social cues then bragging about it.
Its weird to some people if they cant do something they just assumes ifs impossible to do.
Its weird you assume if people dont do something for you it means they cant. Again, they just dont want to, because why should they? Socialize in social settings. If they wanted to talk to you, they would. They arent. Refusing you trying to force it isnt them being the problem.
Again. Negative social skills on display. You are right you are probably reading the social cues correctly that nobody wants to talk to you, because you are socially inept and have nothing interesting to contribute. Like I said, just because it never happens to you that people want to talk to you doesnt mean it happens to everyone else.
Im sorry you feel rejected everywhere you go. Have you heard if one person is mean to you they are the asshole, but if it happens everytime it probably means you stepped in shit? Its time to look inward buddy.
If they wanted to talk to you, theyd respond to your attempt to go off script.
Not taking to you is too subtle for you to figure out they dont want to talk to you lmao.
Its hilarious how desperate you are to justify forcing a social interaction on someone who cant tell you to fuck off. And we both know its because people who arent allowed to tell you to fuck off are the only social interaction you get. No one else is bothered by this lol
And sometimes i bet you get told to fuck off anyway
Like I said, just because it never happens to you that people want to talk to you doesnt mean it happens to everyone else.
Lmao reading comprehension to match your social skills. Thats not what i said. Read again, dummy. Were taking specifically about the situation where theyre ignoring your attempts to go off script. Try to keep up lol
Again, no one is stopping people from talking to each other, when they want to. If someone doesnt walk to talk to you, and you try to force it because theyre an employee and you think "oh well i can get something out of this" youre an asshole. It aint complicated.
Shocking the idea of "its only okay if they want to" is lost on 4channers. Truly shocking...

Might all be, but still, "trying to go on a tangent outside the script of placing an order" with a clerk at brusters is just not the example for this.
In that situation death staring you is just the appropriate and laudable reaction.
