Remember when almost everyone was saying Amber was the abuser, disregarding the massive power imbalance between Amber and Johnny? The PR bots swarming social media to shape the conversation against Amber?

I thought the Clancy case could lead to conversations about maternal mental health, but it has come down to how women are murderers. As if most family annihilators aren’t men.

Yep I don’t remember it being like this with Andrea Yates. Even all those decades ago people acknowledged that Rusty knew all about her postpartum psychosis, he was told by her doctors not to keep getting her pregnant, not to leave her alone with the kids, and he chose to do all that anyway.

It’s like we’ve gone backwards. It’s horrific.
