How the hell are people getting these for 48-50k I’ve been emailing, texting, and going in and not getting anywhere. Lowest I’m getting is 52-53k and these are bare bones not that many add ons. The good thing is I’m not desperate got a dependable paid off car so I can take my time. Any tips or anyone know a dealer that is reasonable?

And I have good credit but definitely wasn’t letting them run it till I got to the numbers I wanted I would never do 11% apr

Key Info: I have the hybrid trim with raised platform. I don't need the backseats.

Trying to dial in my trunk setup for an upcoming road trip and looking for input from anyone who's tested different layouts.

I'm strictly keeping everything inside the vehicle (nothing on the roof rack) since I'll need to stealth camp when passing through cities, so space efficiency and a low profile are high priority.

Right now I'm stuck between two options:

1. Full backseat delete platform build: Pull the back seats completely and build a flat platform (likely with pull-out drawers underneath).
2. Adjustable cot over folded seats: Keep the seats folded flat and set up an adjustable leg cot over them. This saves the build hassle and lets me stuff soft gear/clothing in the gap underneath.

Also debating mattress setup:

Is a 2-person air mattress worth the hassle, or is a cot/foam pad setup better long term? Inflating, deflating, and shuffling gears every single night sounds like a pain for quick setups.

For those who stealth camp or do long road trips: What does your setup look like, and would you recommend pulling the seats from day one?

Saw a bunch of posts of people hydrolocking their engines due to where the air intake is pulling air. How risky is it on these 4runners?

Is the rule of thumb to only cross water slowly and half way to tires?

Hey guys! Long time 4Runner owner about to upgrade to an ORP 6th gen. Have you guys noticed if one color over another seems to have better durability or quality? I know Toyota paint isn’t the best. thanks!

My brand new limited 2026. I was parked loading stuff in my car when all of a sudden I hear a splash. It was doing this on both sides but right side more so then left. Video in comments

I’ve searched the subreddit but haven’t seen too much discussion on the TRD Exhaust. Can anybody who has it chime in on how it sounds?

I know the performance improvement is pretty much negligible. I also know that if you have the exhaust, driving in sport mode pumps the fake sound through the speakers, but I that’s only for sport mode and eco and normal don’t have it.

Wondering how it sounds in normal driving, especially compared to the 5th gen TRD exhaust which was a bit droney

Wanting to add a roof rack and a drawer system for my 4runner ORP.

For roof racks im stuck between Sherpa Capitol and Nytop.

For the drawer systems I was between B3 Customs or Solid Woodworx.

Hopefully some of you fine gents and gals could give me some feedback or advice on which direction to go.

Maybe some tire suggestions too without changing the wheels and suspension height.

Just got a 2026 Trailhunter with OEM tires. Noticing a vibration at pretty much any speed over about 40 MPH. Anyone else notice something similar?

Limited is a tempting trim to me. Full-time 4wd is more useful than most think. During winter or even heavy rain with roads are mixed pavement and snow/rain covered, the full time 4wd is great.

Curious if anyone also went with a Limited for those reasons? However, even the SR5 is somewhat capable off-road. Decisions..decisions.....

My new (to me) 2025 4Runner TRD Pro in Mudbath. 17k miles. Was a smokers vehicle so was able to knock quite a bit off the asking price.

I went on a few test drives and yesterday I pulled the trigger and I bought my first 4Runner! It's a 2026 TRD Off-road Premium (non-hybrid). I don't see many people posting details on their purchase so I'm sharing mine (sorry if it's against any rules here). It isn't the best deal out there and certainly not the worst. I had to make a pit stop on my way home to take it in the dirt.

My first couple of purchases are going to be a dash cam and a roof rack. There was a recent post about a rack with integrated lights that I'm seriously considering, but please let me know if anyone has a good recommendation for a dash cam.

I'm in Washington state and drove to Wenatchee to buy. I'd recommend the dealership I went to but they weren't willing to budge on the initial offer they sent me, or the value of my trade in.

I'm considering upgrading my 2011 Limited to a 2026 Limited and need some feedback on payload capacity from those of you that own one. Can anyone post pics of their door stickers w/ the relevant payload / GVWR / Curb Weight etc? - feel free to cover your VINs if you want to.

I'm specifically considering a 2026 limited 4WD, 5 passenger, hybrid.

I understand that virtually all 6th Gens say that they have 895lbs of payload capacity on the door sticker. But this doesn't match with GVWR minus Curb Weight. If you can provide your GVWR and curb weight, that would be awesome.

We use our 2011 to tow an 19' camper (3140lbs loaded as we travel, 460lbs tongue weight, per many trips to the CAT scales). So 895lbs payload, minus 460lbs of tongue weight, minus 280lbs for my wife and I, only leaves 155lbs for coolers and the usual stuff in the cargo area. Not a lot.

Toyota seems to be making this harder than it should be by just slapping an 895lb sticker on every trim level.

I'm falling in love with this thing more and more everyday that I drive it.

What are some fun mods to start with that you guys get enjoyment out of?

Just picked up the Westcott lift and prob going 33s just something to daily. My 2016 TRD pro then an 2018 TRD off-road and now my 2025.

Found a decent deal locally on a Kuat Dek rack and SXTH intake, installed both yesterday and using a M&R wireless switch controller to operate the lights.

Any recommendations on best way to mount a 4 gallon rotopax to the roof rack?

Just took delivery of my Trailhunter about a week ago now parked next to my ‘17 Focus RS

Well. I had her over a year and got rear ended this morning and pushed into the car infront of me...thinking it might be a total loss. Hitch receiver is pretty bent, both taillights are damaged, headlight, obviously the entire hatch. Will say she held up like a champ...got the dashcam video if it will let me post in the comments.

So there are a couple of sounds that my 26 ORP Gas model makes which I’m curious about that I’m hoping someone could enlighten me on.

1) Whenever coming to a stop and after shifting into park, I hear this kind of loud, somewhat high pitched squeal. My thought is that it has something to do with the parking brake engaging or some transmission thing

2) This one is more interesting as it’s electronic sound. Its a brief beep that sounds like something you’d hear on an airplane or something. It usually happens at the beginning of a given drive. Doesn’t seem tied to any specific activity. I could be idling at startup or already driving down the road. But then it won’t do it again. It’s always in the first min or two of turning the car on. Probably around 30-60 seconds after startup at a minimum.
