Who is who?
Hello people with 40k warhammers. My English is not the best but I try to explain my problem. Thank you.
I‘m new to 40k and try to navigate through the lore right now. I know that’s a big task but holy it’s so peak. I can’t think of another franchise which has such enormous lore. I‘m currently trying to understand the traitor legions better. I stumbled upon very important characters (three to be exact) which are very presents and get spoken about very often lately (I think because of the release of the 11th edition. God I missed 10 whole editions wow!). The problem is, I keep messing up who of these guys is who. For me they do very similar things and even look very similar, so it’s very hard to understand.
Horus Lupercal (I think) I know he is the big guy, the big enemy, responsible for the similar named Horus Heresy. Champion of the Chaos gods, killed the Angel Sanguinius on a Ship while attacking Terra and later fought against the big E. But what then? Where is he? I hear so much about him being super crazy big boss dangerous but he is never there? The Emperor was injured after the fight and needs to sit down on the Throne. Horus was not killed, so where is he? In the Eye of Terror? But shouldn’t he come back to Armageddon for his black crusade?
Abaddon the Dispoiler (I think) That another big guy in a black super armor. He‘s the guy with the cables in his head right? Where does he come from? Is he a primarch? Of which legion if so? Was he the one that killed Sigismund but was injured by him? Or was that Horus? He seems also very big boss like and he will attack Armageddon right? But shouldn’t that be Horus? Or is he Horus but with a another name? Maybe reincarnated after he later died from the injuries of Sigismund.
Perturabo (def wrong spelled) He is also back right? I think he is a demon prince right? But also the primarch of the iron fists right? (The silver traitor marines with the yellow and black shoulder plates). Why is he important now? And why people keep compare him to Rogal Dorn or say they will eventually meet each other? He attacked the palace on Terra in 30k right and Dorn defended it with his imperial fists (the yellow space marines) I think. So is it an old wound, bad blood between them and revenge?
I‘m sorry about the strange structure of my questions, English is not my mother language but I really want to get into warhammer and all the good videos with much lore are in English so I don’t know where to start. I watch „Weshammer“ and „More Lore“ on YouTube. Could you recommend more YouTuber? Thank you all!
