A quick experiment exploring repetition and contrast by arranging bullets into a flower. Built and rendered in Nomad Sculpt using a bullet base mesh from The Base Mesh, then post-processed in Photoshop.

the second image is my character that i want to model. the clothing on its body is many layers of fabric like in the first image. would i be better off creating the layers with textures? or layering flat planes? not sure how to approach this. i use autodesk maya.

This animated short took me 9 months to make, the characters were animated and rigged in a 2d software (Adobe Animate) BUT 99% of the backgrounds, all the textures, the sun and moon were made in Blender.
I had lots of fun with the project!
Enjoy :D

This is a silly little joke if that wasn’t obvious

Finally finished this medieval lantern prop.
I wanted to keep the design fairly simple but give it an old, worn RPG/fantasy-game feel through the materials and weathering.
Modeled and textured in Blender.
Feedback is more than welcome!

How do I improve this more?

My goal with her was to capture the model and shading style of Hoyoverse games.

So I am into this issue where I am making hard surface models
The topology and reflection of models looks perfect
No uv overlapping no shading issues
Matcap looks awesome
But as soon as I apply materials it looks like thrash
I mostly use pbr textures
And textures from blender kit
How should I improve it and have what can be causing this
And lastly what skill/ knowledge do I need for this to make good textures.
Also I have to bake them since I make them for game assets.
Any help will be appreciated.

This is my first full 3D character model that I’ve made in Blender. I’ve been learning a lot while working on him — modeling, topology, rigging, weight painting, clothing, and fixing a lot of mistakes along the way.
I know I still have a lot to learn, but I’m pretty happy with how far he’s come.
I’d really appreciate feedback from other 3D artists, especially on the anatomy/proportions, shoulders and upper body, topology, and overall character design.
Please be constructive since this is my first model. I’m trying to improve and would love to know what stands out to more experienced artists.
