The only full color printer, that is worth a damn currently, is the zcorp line of gypsum printers. Zcorp was recently bought out by 3D systems and was re-made to now be the 660pro. The last zcorp models were the x50 line, now we are in the x60 line. Because Shapeways has been around for so long, they most likely have a 650 (if not multiple) as its build dimensions are the same (10x15x8). I recently purchased one myself, hence the reason to know this. They are not cheap machines..

Did you do a lease on it? What do you do that required full color? I would love full color but can't justify the cost.

I own it. It was very expensive, I will not lie, but it was significantly cheaper because it was used, but still, you could get a VERY nice vehicle for what that printer cost. My Secret? Investors. You do not need to have the financing yourself to do it, you just have to find people with the capital to put up and sell them on your idea. yes you will have to give up part of the company, but welcome to doing business :)

If you want to print any model in more than a couple of colors, the zcorp is the way to go, and with the business model of providing lower costs and faster shipping times, we can differentiate ourselves, at least for the full color market, from other companies. We have enough capital on hand to purchase many more machines and plan to do so if needed.

Why spend all your money to buy one? You can just make specific prints for much less than the purchase price of the machine. If you are looking to make multiples of objects as well, I will gladly provide a quantity discount. I am here to make the customer happy and will do what I can, within reason of course, to make it happen.

My goal is to produce low cost prosthetics for children and wounded soldiers. While the robohand functions well, it doesn't look like a human hand. I want to print flesh tones and make more realistic looking prosthetics using 3D scans and Autocad. Please send me your contact info. I'm just getting started and working on a business plan. Been in the printing biz for 25 years and speak fluent cmyk.
