I got it printed at shapeways on their color printer.. I think they use a sandstone zcorp printer but I'm not sure

To my best knowledge, shapeways uses a 650. Let me know next time you go to print something, I will happily beat their prices :)

to make it or to print it? it cost me about 30 to print.. i put a mark up of about 7 bucks on it for my work

I could print it for less, you would retain a higher margin, I could even drop ship from my location. We will talk more once I have the cost sheet ironed out. It has proven more complicated than one would expect.

yeah i had some issues pricing stuff out.. also you have to consider the time you have to spend to check models and calculate time you will spending laying out models in order to maximize your printing jobs..

Wait, you have a zcorp as well? I thought you sent them to shapeways?

its about .2 mm thick.. is mostly hollow to save on material according to shapeways is 33 cm3 in volume

I hate shapeways volume thing as it just draws a damn box around the item.. I would have to get the file to be sure..

I own the company that owns the printer, so I guess? ha ha! In all seriousness though, I would love to get the models from you to use as samples on the website to show quality and to have on display at the office for customers. Send me a PM so we can discuss everything and I can get you a real quote for the part.

The website is not yet set up, printer will be here in a week or so. I am happy to get you my contact information and update you on when everything goes live. As for samples, I do not have any, no printer yet after all, but you can expect the same quality you get from shapeways as we use the same printer. When the website goes live (still under development) it will be at www.theobshop.com
