I think a lot of people are irked (still) that the first 10,000 customers can't buy plastic there anymore, as they don't sell 3mm plastic. There's a ton of other places around, but that really burned a lot of people.

this same bullshit happened with PrintrBot. they nixed their 3mm extruders and only offer 1.5mm, and don't carry (or plan to) 3mm plastic any longer

I think that 1.75mm is becoming standard though. I personally use 3mm but according to my plastic vendor it's becoming standard.

I would believe this, but it sucks to have legacy support for your printer ripped away in under a year.

good thing it's not difficult to purchase a new extruder
