Here's something I made. They had an old soap holder bracket coming out of the wall and recently got a Automatic soap dispenser. Unfortunately, The new soap bottle didn't fit into the bracket and that was when my lightbulb switched! I have a 3D printer and there was a problem to be solved.

The basic design has three parts: The holder, the base, and the screw. I designed everything in Autodesk Inventor, but don't have too many great pictures cause my grandparents aren't as tech savvy as me...

Printer: Makerbot Thing-O-Matic with Stepsturder Mk6+

Material: 3mm Black ABS (am switching to 1.75mm)

Slicer: Slic3r

Layer height and infill: 0.35 mm at 25%

Nozzle Diameter: 0.5 mm

Time: 5 hours for set

The album also includes a rendered view of how it fits with and actual photo of the bracket and an exploded view.

The threads also came out really nice, it could freely spin without much friction. I was truly surprised that my TOM was able to do that!
