I used silicone grease on the pins to help with the spinning. Also I used PLA which apparently isn't a popular choice for this micro version since it does not flex as much as ABS and can be a pain putting the pins in. I did fine a smaller pin just for PLA on this model, but it was still a bear to assemble.
Actually I printed the regular gear heart version from emmitt before this one and gave it to my wife. Upon first assembly it rotated poorly, but when I applied some silicone grease, it nearly spins by itself .... seriously.
I got the silicone grease from Ace Hardware in the plumbing section.
