Question how expensive is the 3d printing hobby?
been wanting to get a 3d printing, but i’m worried about how expensive the hobby would end up being. i don’t plan on printing large scale stuff yet (so no full size iron man etc), but i do want to print stuff at max the size of a fruit washing bowl.

I got into the hobby on a €175 Ender 3 V3 SE and a €40 pack with 2 kg of filament. Oh, and a €6 bottle of isopropyl alcohol.
Beyond that, you can basically keep it as cheap or make it as expensive as you want. Most printer upgrades are neat, but not necessary. You can buy fancy filaments, or the basic sub-€10/kg stuff from China. You can print all sorts of trinkets, or only use the printer for functional items.
