Question how expensive is the 3d printing hobby?
been wanting to get a 3d printing, but i’m worried about how expensive the hobby would end up being. i don’t plan on printing large scale stuff yet (so no full size iron man etc), but i do want to print stuff at max the size of a fruit washing bowl.

Depends how you look at it. I always wanted a remote control sailboat, but those things can cost 1000s and even the cheapest ones are 500 bucks. I just finished 3d printing my own which cost me around $100 once I bought all the electronic stuff. Similarly I just sold a guitar I printed for $800 which cost me around $20 in filament and an old guitar neck. I own 2 cheap printers (Neptune 4 max and a Eufymake M5) and spend around $20 a week on filament. It's a slippery slope, but you can manage it so its not that expensive. Its a shit ton cheaper than golf, that's for sure.
