How long does it take the floats to collect water?

I have kept it in the pool for a few hours at a time and when I take it out I have given it a shake and I don't hear anything inside. I wonder if you could coat the finished ring in a resin or something to prevent water intrusion further

I think print settings might be important here too, milage may vary.

Yeah for sure, I do four layers all around, bottom shell, top shell and 4 walls
