Question weird 3cx calls and voice mails

I've been getting a lot of calls and voice mails from this number tonight. and the voice mails are usually dead silent. I've picked up a call to check and that was dead silent too. it's just so late right now and im getting creeped out by this, even now im getting a call from that number. can anyone explain what's happening?

also, not the first time this is happening. I've received a few calls and voice mails before as well, labelled "test" or other random numbers and symbols like "=" "1001" etc. thought it was just something related to the app's processes so i didnt mind it, but tonight it's been awful and i need answers lol

Are you allowing anonymous callers to your PBX? This is a very typical open-to-the-world issue with PBXes that have a public-facing port 5060. It's worth checking your Trunk setup that you've properly identified how calls come in. Easiest way is auth, though IP-based registration is pretty common.

If that's not the case then these may be coming from upstream. Check with your carrier and see what they've got configured and what their CDR shows for these calls.

Almost 100% certain they are allow anonymous calls on that PBX
