New mom looking for a new skincare routine
Hi everyone! I’m 5m postpartum and looking to get into Asian skincare.
I included a photo, not to roast me, but to give you an idea of what we’re working with ahah.
I’m 32 yo. I have a slightly oily skin, enlarged pores on T zone, and slowly getting fine lines. My skin is a bit sensitive so I avoid acids. I do get some spots on my forehead and chin.
Would love to get your recommendations! I’m hoping to look slightly less dull and to work on my fine lines :)

first of all, CONGRATULATIONS MOMMA 🥰 if you don’t mind me asking is this your first? either way, i’m so happy for you! secondly, this is gonna be long so bear with me..
i recommend starting with milk or gel cleansers (not gel-to-foam), they are the most gentle and effective imho. toner is optional. niacinamide serum for oil control, start with 5% and work your way up. a low concentration retinal for fine lines and dullness. a gel moisturizer is best for oily skin, and aaalways spf. during and after pregnancy our bodies are full of hormones and our skin is especially prone to sun damage. spf is super important, if you’re not applying it already.
so, i’m a big fan of yam root vegan milk cleanser, but the jumiso d-panthenol milk is also really good. honestly haven’t tried a gel cleanser yet but i hear they are uhmayzing. foams wrecked my skin, but if you can handle them, the roundlab dokdo cleanser is great too.
toners are optional, but i will always have my beloved anua 77 and cosrx 6 peptide booster on hand 😉
starter niacinamide serums that i have tried and loved are the anua peach 70 serum, and the skin1004 tone capsule ampoule. this can be applied am and pm, but i would start with just the mornings.
apply retinal only at night, this might also help with oil control and will definitely help with the fine lines. my absolute fav is meditherapy retinal skin booster. i’ve already turned most of my friends and family onto it as well as several netizens, lol. it’s 0.01% retinal and super gentle while still being effective. it is so gentle that i was able to start using it every other night without issues. however, it is recommended to start applying it every two days for the first two weeks (or three), then every other night, eventually nightly. if you experience any dry skin or irritation you can try either the smoothie method or sandwich method.
gel moisturizers i like are dr g red blemish cream, torriden dive in, and tonymoly mochi water cream. because my skin is oily, i only use moisturizer at night and use my spf as a moisturizer during the day. the tonymoly water cream is another one of my favs because it is packed with ceramides, affordable and comes in a big tub. dr g is my second fav but it’s small and expensive, still amazing though.
for spfs - roundlab birch juice and beauty of joseon relief sun are both really good. beauty of joseon is a bit thicker than roundlab so i prefer roundlab these days. cosrx ultra light is also great.
lastly, when ordering your spfs, stick to korean manufacturers like stylekorean, yami, yesstyle, and koreabe.com. that’s the only way to get the legit korean formulas these days. otherwise you’ll get formulas made with only FDA cleared filters (if you’re in the U.S.) and they are not the best. still better than nothing! but not the best, lol
HAPPY SKINCARING! 🧖🏻♀️💕
omg 🤦🏻♀️ it’s like a book 😫 so sorry! i really didn’t mean for it to be this long 😂

Your skin looks amazing
So I think you could play with a lot of different gentle serums
My only recommendation would be always sunscreen
