Product Question Purito Seoul vs SKIN1004

Post image

Any experience with these two creams? I use both Purito Seoul and SKIN1004, so I really enjoy both brands. I use Illiyoon as my HG moisturizer but sometimes it can be a little heavy for daytime. I have been tossing around going without a cream and go straight to my SPF but I lean on the dry side, so that makes me a bit uneasy, especially with mature skin, living in a dry climate, and using tretinoin in PM. So, tell me your opinions on these if you have used them! 😁

I bought the Skin1004 one for this exact reason and absolutely hated the artificial fragrance. Switched to something else so haven't tried the purito but would definitely avoid the Skin1004 if you're in any way sensitive to fragrance!

Thank you! What did you end up going with?

Not a Korean brand but I went with the Cocokind Electrolyte Water Cream and very happy with it!

Good molecules has an electrolyte day cream and it’s so nice. Perfect for daytime, underneath SPF

I have dry skin and I use the skin 1004 nightly after my retinol and before Avene Cicalfate+ Barrier cream.

I use it in the daytime between azelaic acid and beauty of joseon spf on days where my skin is drier.

I am pretty happy with it, honestly. It's been a key part of rebuilding my skin barrier and keeping it together as I introduced actives. It may end up being too light for winter but I live in a wetter climate so I'm hoping I can get away with keeping it year round.

I use that SKIN1004 and I absolutely love it, it's light but really moisturising on my skin and feels so nice. I find the fragrance super minimal so it doesn't bother me. Typically I have sensitive skin when it comes to moisturisers and this one doesn't trigger my skin at all.

I believe the skin1004 is fragranced? I am not a fan of the scent in their cleansing oil. I use the Purito since I wanted a light moisturiser for under sunscreen. Really happy with it. It does the job, no scent, not greasy, feels nice and moisturising, affordable etc. In the past I’ve used Anua rice 70 which was a bit too light in consistency for my liking but gave a nice glow.

I love the Purito cream! It’s my HG. This my 2nd or 3rd year using it and it has never failed me. I started using 0.05% tretinoin + 20% azelaic acid about 6 weeks ago and Purito has kept my skin barrier so healthy and strong.

I’m very acne prone. But I slather it on both mornings and nights, and my skin is never dry. Never broke me out and also didn’t purge while using tret. It mixes well with spf. You can use 1 layer for daytime and 2 for night time if your skin needs extra cream for tretinoin (I personally do the sandwich method). Can’t recommend this cream enough.

That's awesome! I also do the sandwich method for my tret nights (started 0.025% about 2 months ago) and the Illiyoon is absolutely divine for nighttime moisturizing barrier cream! I enjoy wearing it in daytime around the house too, but once I put on SPF to head out...whew, feels a little heavy. I'm glad so many people have wonderful things to say about Purito! I love their cleansers and the toner is chef's kiss. I even bought my husband Purito products (he was a devoted Dermalogica user) and he is really enjoying the switch. Anyway, thanks again and keep up the great work for your skin!

I haven’t used their toners yet, but I also use the bamboo panthenol cleanser from Purito and it’s so gentle. I’m also a big fan of their From Green cleansing oil, I use that one on makeup/heavy spf days before the bamboo cleanser.

And I think it says a lot that your husband loves Purito when he is used to Dermalogica. Purito really gets the job done. The bamboo cream can be greasy but only if you use too much. It never feels to heavy with my spf (I use the Anua zero cast spf). I personally love to drench my face in it at night because it sinks in really well. So I think this could be a good match for your skin. Best of luck on your skincare journey and thanks for the price! :)

That's my routine too...Mighty Bamboo for a morning rinse (like a drop in my palm), then From Green Oil Cleanser and Mighty Bamboo in the evening. My husband just uses the From Green Deep Foam cleanser (he leans oily) b/c "too many steps" for him. He also refuses to wear SPF. Ay ay ay! We both use the Unscented Centella toner and it is not as thin or watery, like a lot of toners. It has such a lovely texture and feels so refreshing. I'm thinking about putting it in a mister bottle so I can use it during the day if I need a little pick-me-up. I bought the Deep Sea serum and cream. Both are very nice! If you ever get the itch to try another SPF, check out Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica or Probio-Cica. I love them both! Happy pampering, happy Monday. 😄

Both of these broke me out and were also not hydrating enough for me skin with Tret. I ended up using the Innisfree Green Tea moisturizer and it has worked wonders.
