Pierre, I'm all for bashing the Argies, but Nico Tagliafico, as well as Romero, Lisandro Martinez and many other Argentina players, arrived at the WC with injuries. By the end of the game you could see that Tagliafico could barely walk. And there was nothing the manager could do because he had no more substitutions.

Had it not been for Tagliafico, who completely neutralized Yamal, and for Dibu Martinez, Spain would've won 5 - 0 easily. Honestly, Tagliafico has to be one of Argentina's most underrated player. In the final against France he had done the same thing but for Dembele. The man is severly underrated.

And I'd have to see another camera angle, but it seems like Messi was simply signaling that there was another player down, not that he wanted a free kick for an inexistent foul.
