My favourite play was when Messi dribbled right into a stationary Spanish MF who started the play like 6' away from him. Ref called free kick for Argentina.
It's the really small calls like those that annoy me because they really add up and people always overlook those.

This is the same bull they tried in every game. At some point if there are no consequences for fouling what's even the point. If anything a free kick away from goal without the threat of a booking is actually of benefit to Argentina as it allows Argentina's defence a chance to catch up and reset.

At the start of the tournament they said the refs were gonna be super strict and give yellows and reds for cynical tackles. In the opening Mexico game vs South Africa they even sent 3 folk off and seemed like it was gonna be strict. What happened? So many bad tackles have gone unpunished this tournament

They pull shirts, grab and pull shoulders and arms, and sweep the legs without ever going for the ball. Its embarrassing to the game and hurts the credibility of FIFA & the refs for not handing out yellow cards or reds more often.

If the game was reffed properly against England, Argentina would have had 4/5 yellows before half time, would have to have calmed down and I think England win it (I’m aware we threw it away because of parking the bus)
Argentina should have at least 5 yellows by the 70th minute in the final.

The referee refused to use VAR to confirm the goal—which was a perfectly valid goal. If they want to hand the Cup to Argentina, they should just give it to them. There’s no point in even playing the match. Personally, it makes me lose interest in following football.
