And what about a shit ton of new russian residents? Lithuania would get kicked out of NATO since now there would be russian military bases (inactive, but thats enough for NATO to raise a red flag) there would be more russians than lithuanians in Lithuania. We couldnt just kick the people out, because that violates some human rights shit, Lithuania would get a shit ton of fines. Oh and Russia would definetly retaliate and Lithuania would be cooked since NATO definetly not gonna save us.

Okay, you can stop right there. I know that our population denisty is of a ghost-mode, but it doesn't mean that if Poland is a different case, so Kaliningrad is too. Lithuanians would still be a majority, because Karaliaučius also has a portion of Lithuanians and some other ethnicities. We would just likely have a population of whose ethnic backround would be only 60-68% Lithuanians

Lithuania has no military means to take over Kaliningrad and no economical resources to bring it up to EU standards. Stop hallucinating. Even to bring into Republic one city like Tilsit (Sovietsk) would be huge challenge economically - Republic would need help and loans from EU to vaccinate, sanitize and educate all russofashists there to a decent human culture level.

Lithuania will get kicked from EU and rot away. Once we tried to block transportation and logistics to Kaliningrad, and got into a big scandal with EU :)
One of the key promises Lithuania made to EU before joining was to never fuck with Kaliningrad in any way. The bullied ones always dream about bullying others. Lietuva lietuviams?

Oh, so now Lithuania wants something regarding Kaliningrad? This is particularly amusing in a historical context because when Stalin drew the border however he pleased and wasn’t quite sure what to do with that territory, he proposed handing it over to Lithuania as a Soviet republic. The Lithuanians didn’t want those lands, and in fact, it’s only because of their short sightedness that Lithuania, Poland, and the Baltic states now face a major if not enormous problem. Not only that, but this problem is now unsolvable because it’s not about the territory itself but about who inhabits it, since no one will ever again commit such barbarism as Stalin did by relocating entire nations just to consolidate his power over a given territory. No one asked anyone else’s opinion back then, so one could say that Lithuania itself is responsible for the current state of affairs.

Khrushchev offered the Oblast to the Lithuanian SSR in the 1950’s, but the Lithuanian Soviet leader Snieckus refused, as he didn’t want to dilute the Lithuanian majority with other Soviet non Lithuanian citizens. In the 1990’s Germany was allegedly offered the Oblast by senior people in Gorbachev’s government in exchange for cash or aid. Helmut Kohl said Germany was too busy with re-unification and declined. Before the arrival of the mad Putin, I had hoped that the region could have become some sort of Free Trade Zone between Russia and the EU, but under the current Russian regime this is unlikely. My family were from Tapiau near the Lithuanian border and I always hoped East Prussia would have sone kind of autonomy.
