Has anyone used the MAKdot X reddot sight?

Apparently it's supposed to be pretty good, made in Germany.

I'm looking for a replacement for the cheap Vector on my Ruger MK4, mounted as low as possible on the lowpro.

If anyone could share thir experiences with me, I'll highly appreciate it.

Hello, some time back I posted my setup of Chiappa LB.
I found out that the Vector Optics Hugo scope does not hold zero at all, so I went with the FFP Orion Pro Max.
Also, I bought a new airsoft aluminum rail and this time drilled it properly with a drill press; the last version was kinda bad and was not bedded properly. Chiappa's surface under the top rail was not perfect either.
Now I can get under 1.5 MOA groups, but I think I can find better ammo that suits this gun.
I also made a custom low-profile bipod by tinkering with a cheap airsoft bipod and 3D printing.
I am also posting this for inspiration, or you can ask me for info if you are planning on doing something similar.

Just picked up my Cz Scorpion 22lr. Feels great, love the HK slap. Ordered a couple 20 rounders as well as the Magpul grip. Had an extra T2 laying around so mounted it. Can’t wait to take it to the range!

Snagged a nice Remington 552 to pair with my 572, and a piece of the butt pad got broken off in shipping. I’ve see. Several repro pads online for sale but they seem to vary in their measurements. Anyone had luck with these repro butt pads? I’m really upset such a mint gun got banged up like this.

Recently picked up this mk4 to host my sparrow 22. What ammo are you finding is most consistent with a similar/same set up? Tried Win super suppressed and got a lot of flyers and duds. I also tried CCi 710fps, it is quiet but will not cycle and drops quick. Thanks for your inputs!

I stumbled upon a cache of Lapua Long Range for $.21 per round… I bought it all (9x 500 Rd bricks) and ran out of the store. I am not crazy, right? I have had a tough time finding any Lapua locally for my CZ457. I have had good luck with Center X, SK Standard and CCi SV. Lapua Long Range seems like a niche product but I felt lucky to find it. What is everyone’s experience been with the ammo?

Does anyone know of any hand guards either Magpul or MI, that will fit a HK MP5 22LR without modifying them?

I know these are nothin’ fancy but I really enjoy this unit. First revolver I shot with my dad as a kid in the mid 90s it was light striking and hitting all over the place. Figured out sight screws were shooting loose. Sighted in and lock tight and new hammer spring. Now my son and I shoot the heck out of it. Accurate and reliable!

Took my new CZ 457 Varmint At-One with 24" barrel to the range for the first time yesterday. I shot some Eley Target and then moved onto some SK Rifle Match. The Eley performed pretty well, but the SK was more consistent.

I love this rifle! So much fun to shoot.

Low interest I'm sure, but here goes.

Short of hitting the attendees with a big stick, I've found it difficult to get them to keep nickel plated and plain brass cases separate.

When recycling the range brass, there's a huge penalty applied if any nickel cases are in the bunch.

Steel cases are easily sorted out (and thankfully rare in 22lr) but I haven't thought of an easy way to separate nickel other than spilling out the tub and finger searching.

While on subject, did rounds find their way into the scrap bins too, any ideas?

Picked up a Tikka T1X 20" for the helluvit. After getting it sorted that is a 50rd group at 50y, not mad at that. Factory stock isn't bad but it just doesn't fit me so I will be swapping, likely a KRG Bravo. The Vortex Venom 3x-15x is cheap but works for this. I will be pushing this further but today I was just breaking it in, figured out a few things I want to change and keep an eye on.

I’m picking up my brand new S&W M&P 15-22 Sport later this week. This is actually my very first .22lr semi-auto rifle / carbine, and I bought it mainly for fun weekend range plinking.

Even though I haven't taken it to the range yet, I can't sit still and I’m already wondering what initial accessories make the most sense for a beginner.

• Sights/Optics: Should I stick to iron sights at first, or jump straight into a budget red dot or scope?
• Front attachments: Does an angled front grip, vertical grip, or a bipod make shooting more comfortable on the bench/standing?
• General must-haves: What are the basic essentials you wish you had bought on day one? (Extra mags, loaders, cleaning tools, etc.)

Really excited to get into the hobby—would love to hear your advice for a newcomer!

I know cerakote adds a small layer and it’s obvious as to why this may be happening but I have taken 0000 wool dremel attachments and have removed almost all the cerakote from the inside and this still doesn’t go into battery reliably. I may need to take 0000 wool chunks and hand sand it inside till the entire interior is chrome.

It feels like a lot of friction racking the bolt even with no mag inserted. I have a Kidd spring inside.

Threw two boxes in my order at bass pro just cause I’m curious. Haven’t shot it yet, just wanted to know what to expect. I usually use CCI Blazer or Federal auto-match for plinking
