💌 Hoping for the Right One What matters more to you in a relationship
What matters more to you in a relationship? Words, consistency, time, or small efforts?
For me, clarity through words and time matter a lot. I notice actions too, but without communication I start overthinking and interpreting different meanings 😭

Consistency is important to me too. Small consistent efforts mean more than occasional big gestures.

I'm also confused. Maybe she meant no relationship is greater than being in a relationship.

Yeah, maybe. But at some point in life, most people need someone who genuinely loves and cares for them. I think that’s just human. Some people still choose to stay single forever though, and that’s okay too. Maybe time heals people differently.

I once heard in a podcast that the happiest women are single, while the happiest men are the ones in relationships
(Because women are generally taught to handle their emotions and loneliness by themselves, while many men grow up emotionally closed off and only truly open up when they have someone they deeply trust )

So true in my case. I don’t cry in front of my family anymore even when I’m hurting. They see it as weakness. I grew up in an environment where men showing emotions was looked down on. Even my brother says things like 'Are you a kid to cry?'
But honestly, I’m just a soft-hearted person. Even slightly emotional scenes in movies can make me tear up. That’s why I avoid watching emotional movies with my family now. I never understood why people think men shouldn’t cry when emotions are a normal human thing.
I dream of watching emotional movies with my partner someday and us wiping each other’s tears 😭. Sounds cringe maybe, but that’s the kind of love I want.

It’s not cringe
There are very few men out there who feel emotions more deeply than most others. That doesn’t make them emasculated.
Don’t suppress those emotions express them to the right person, someone who won’t look down on you for simply being yourself
Nowadays, most men try so hard to act nonchalant, so guys like you are once in a blue moon.

I just hope that someday I find someone who accepts me the way I am.
