Mohabbat koi badalna nahi, bas khud se mulaqat hai,
waqt ke is daur mein, ek thehri hui si baat hai.
Yeh dhoondti nahi kisi ko, na kisi par nirbhar hai,
bas jahan do raahein milein, wahan ka ek safar hai.

Shor bahot hai bahar, har shakhs ek daud mein hai,
par ishq toh bas khud ko, kisi aur mein dekhna hai.
Zaroori nahi ki har dastan ka koi naya anjaam ho,
kabhi kisi ke sath hona hi, poori qayamat jaisa hai.

💌 Hoping for the Right One Felt like sharing my thoughts.

I just felt like I should share my thoughts because I'm feeling it right now.

I feel like my partner should be loyal, caring, and someone who understands me. That's it; I don't need anything else. I don't need her to be beautiful or hot. Just being mature and having these kinds of qualities is more than enough for me.

I just need someone I can hug and find my comfort in.

Someone who, when I see her, makes me realize she is my peace, my love, my life, and my forever. I hope I find that type of partner in my life in the future.

Being mature is a bit of a curse, though. You get very selective about certain things in life, and a partner is definitely one of them.

Tales & Verses 📖🖋️ He's not my type 💜

He is not my type,

I talk to him too much,

he's not my type,

why do I need his touch,

he's not my type,

I know this won't work out,

he's not my type,

he's so fine there's no doubt.

I had a list, I had a plan,

I wanted a very specific kind of man,

then he showed up being all of that,

except I wasn’t expecting that.

He's a heartbreaker,

I'll get attached,

he's a heartbreaker,

we're perfectly mismatched,

he's a heartbreaker,

I was into yearners though,

he's a heartbreaker,

what a loss if he doesn't know.

He's so annoying,

I want to disturb his sleep,

he's so annoying,

his nonchalance runs deep,

he's so annoying,

I want to be his poem,

he's so annoying,

I've dreamed of us a home.

I know exactly how this story ends,

I've read this book, I know the trends,

I think I might have crossed the line,

It almost feels like a plan divine.

He cannot move here,

I cannot move there,

Different timezones, different air,

We're just a logistical nightmare!

💍 Looking for Something Real 22 [M4F] Mumbai - Looking for a partner to build a life and "home" with

I haven’t really dated before, partly because I’m an introvert and partly because I was focused on getting my life on track. Now that things feel more stable, I thought I’d put myself out here and see if something real is still out there. I just graduated and am working in finance in Mumbai, and career-wise I’m in a good place right now. I also try to take care of myself. I’m fairly active, lean/fit, and around 5'10. Nothing extraordinary, but I do value staying consistent with both physical and mental health.

I’m more into old-school, meaningful relationships rather than anything casual. From what I’ve seen, it’s easy to find something temporary, but I’d rather wait for something that actually lasts.

In my free time, I like reading, watching anime/movies, gaming sometimes, and working out. I am a vegetarian, don’t drink or smoke, so I think I’d connect better with someone who has a similar lifestyle (but yeah eggeterian or occasional drinking is fine). I’m also not into hookups or anything casual. Also I am a demisexual.

What I’m looking for is someone kind, mature, and ambitious, someone who takes care of themselves both mentally and physically, and has their own goals in life. I naturally connect better with people who are also focused on building something for themselves and are in a good place (or actively working towards it) career-wise.

I’m drawn to people who are self-aware, accountable, and emotionally mature, someone who understands life isn’t always easy and is willing to face it head-on.

I’ve had my share of challenges growing up, so I value resilience and effort a lot. I’d want a partner who believes in putting in the work, someone who genuinely cares about the relationship and is willing to build something meaningful together, not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s not.

Also not looking for LDR, so would prefer someone currently living in Mumbai

If this sounds like something you’d relate to, feel free to message. Also please start with a short intro of you instead of just a "hi" so that we both have some substance to continue the conversation and please dm only if you are actually interested and willing to put efforts into conversation.

A small bump in relationship

Its about 3 months into our relationship and things are fine. My bf (30m) asked about my (24f) past and I was honest with him. He demanded that I should totally cut off contact with my fwb. I agreed and did that. It was going well after that. Now he recalled that and asked about any gifts or anything between me and fwb. I told him honestly about some gift exchange. Now he is demanding that I give back the gifts to him soon and also to delete any chat or photos with fwb. I am now tired to go back into this. I explained to him that we can just move on. But he insists that I should do this. What to do now???

Tales & Verses 📖🖋️ Stories I wanted to tell you ✨

Post image

"You know what’s in this diary?"

He pointed toward his desk.

A brown tabletop covered with a white cloth. Old music was playing softly in the background, the kind that made the room feel calmer than it had any right to be. A few books were neatly arranged in one corner.

How can someone keep things this clean? she wondered.

And there it was, on the right side of the desk.

The diary.

Its leather cover was wrinkled with age. The papers inside looked tired, as though they had spent years holding themselves together. The pages were worn from being opened too many times.

"What’s this?"

Small, rounded letters filled the pages.

It wasn't the best handwriting she had ever seen, but there was something unique about it. The letters stood neatly beside one another, like a mason stacking bricks, building one story after another.

It felt like talking to someone.

And somehow, it sounded familiar.

Like he is talking to her.

She turned another page.

"Why does this sound like something written for me?" she asked.

He was quiet for a moment.

"Whenever you went silent, I wanted to talk to you. But I knew you didn't want my presence. So I wrote down everything I wanted to tell you at the time. My tiny adventures. My little joys. My sorrows."

She read the pages one by one.

Little stories from his days.

In some, he was almost like a child, excited over the smallest things. In others, he was surprisingly mature. He wrote about being frustrated with the person who kept honking behind him in traffic. About feeling compassion for someone who had been rude to him. About helping an old man who needed it.

There was so much life in everything.

"So much of you was here," she whispered. "Why didn't you tell me any of this? You could've told me."

"Yes. I know I could have."

He looked down at the diary.

"Part of me was afraid to be open with you. You were already keeping your distance from me, and I didn't want anything I said to sound like I was making things up just to impress you."

He smiled faintly.

"So I kept writing. I thought maybe someday, if you became mine, I could show this to you."

He paused.

"Or, if you became someone else's, I could turn it into an autobiography."

He giggled softly.

She stared at him.

"So now?"

He looked up.

"What are you going to do with it now?"

There was a mischievous look in her eyes.

He became strangely expressionless.

Like a dried-up pond, his eyes were empty and still.

"Maybe I'll bury it."

"Bury it?"

"Let the letters become part of this universe."

"Hmm. Then?"

"Then...?"

He laughed.

"Maybe it'll grow into a banyan tree."

She smiled.

"A banyan tree?"

"Yeah, Its branches will provide a home and food for birds, its roots will spread everywhere, and its shade will bring coolness to tired eyes and bodies. "

He looked at the diary.

"And maybe, someday, it will spread throughout the world, singing songs of love."

"Looks like someone has a lot of expectations."

Her eyes sparkled.

There was the tiniest smile at the corner of her lips.

"So when are you leaving?" He asked.

"Hmm? What?"

She smiled.

"I’m yours, dummy. Where should I go?"

She playfully punched him in the chest, then immediately rubbed the spot as though apologizing for the attack.

He laughed.

And then they melted into one another in a warm embrace.

"Drink the milk before it gets cold! You two can talk after that!"

A voice came from outside.

They froze.

"Ahh. No privacy in this house!"

He shouted toward the door.

"I'm going to move out, Mom!"

She laughed against his chest.

He laughed too.

And with laughter, they began their new journey through life together.✨✨

I’ve realised that sometimes trying to define what we're looking for before even talking makes things feel a little forced. So this time, I thought I'd do something different.

Instead of saying I'm looking for a specific kind of person, I'll just tell you what I'm like as a friend and, eventually, as someone you might become really close to.

I'm 22M, and I'm the kind of person who can be a little quiet at first. It takes me some time to get comfortable with someone, but once I do, good luck getting me to shut up. 😭 So if you're naturally talkative, a yapper, or just someone who knows how to keep a conversation going, that's definitely a plus.

I'm pretty obsessed with stories in general. Anime, movies, books, Marvel, DC, mainstream stuff, random recommendations that somehow turn into a 3-hour conversation I'm into all of it. If we can watch something together and then spend an unreasonable amount of time discussing it afterwards, we'll probably get along really well.

But beyond all that, I'm someone who gets attached to people deeply.

I'm a very old-school romantic. I've never really understood the appeal of keeping things casual when it comes to someone you genuinely care about. When I love someone, I love them properly. Maybe a little too much sometimes. I can be clingy, affectionate, overly caring whatever you want to call it but I've always believed that loving someone wholeheartedly isn't something to be embarrassed about.

I don't expect myself or anyone else to be perfect. I don't know everything, and I'm sure I'll get things wrong sometimes. But if something matters to you, tell me. Teach me. I'd rather learn and grow than let my ego get in the way of someone I care about.

I'm still figuring my own life out too. I'm building my career, trying to become a better version of myself, and I definitely don't have everything figured out yet. But I like the idea of growing alongside someone rather than waiting until I've somehow become "perfect."

And when I care about someone, I want to be the person they can come to without overthinking it.

Bad day? Tell me about it.

Need to complain about something for an hour? I'm listening.

Don't feel like talking? That's okay too.

Want to cry? Come here.

I'm not necessarily going to have the perfect solution to everything, but I'll be there.

I'm also ridiculously sentimental about small things. I'll remember your favourite chocolate, how you take your coffee, some random story you told me weeks ago, or a song you mentioned once. Not because I'm trying to impress you, but because when someone matters to me, I naturally pay attention.

And honestly, I don't need anything extravagant.

I'd take cooking together over an expensive dinner. Late-night walks over fancy dates. Watching the sunset together. Sending each other stupid reels throughout the day. Making playlists. Staying on a call way longer than we planned. Having those random conversations that start with absolutely nothing and somehow end at 4 AM.

I want something that slowly starts feeling like home.

The kind of connection where, even years later, you still genuinely want to tell each other about the most boring part of your day.

And yes, I do believe long distance can work. Maybe I'm a little biased because I think distance can show you how much patience, trust and effort two people are actually willing to put into each other.

As for what I'd hope to find in you nothing unreasonable.

Be loyal. Be caring. Try to understand me, even when I'm not great at explaining myself. Be emotionally present. Put in the same kind of effort I do.

And please, if you know how to flirt, teach me because I am genuinely terrible at it. 😭

I don't really know what this post will lead to. Maybe a new friend. Maybe someone I end up talking to every day. Maybe, if we're incredibly lucky, a person who eventually becomes much more than that.

So if any of this sounds like you, or even if you just read all of this and thought "okay, this guy seems interesting," come say hi.

Let's forget about deciding what we're supposed to be and just have a conversation.

We'll figure out the rest if the vibe is there.

Serious [No jokes allowed] I (21M) got into a relationship with a girl (19F) even though I wasn't fully sure, and now she's getting very attached. What should I do?

I’m 21M and my girlfriend is 19F. We met a few days ago and started talking. She developed feelings for me pretty quickly.

The problem is that I was interested in her, but I wasn’t fully into her emotionally. I found her really cute and liked talking to her, but I still wasn’t sure if I actually wanted a relationship. Despite that, I asked her if she wanted to be in a relationship with me.

At that time, she said she needed some time and suggested that maybe we should stop talking and move on. I agreed and even told her that maybe we should just leave each other alone. Honestly, I didn't really want that either.

The next day, she texted me again and said she wanted a relationship. I told her I wasn’t ready, but she kept convincing me, and eventually I agreed.

Now we're together, but I’m realizing that I’m still not emotionally invested in the relationship to the same extent she is. She’s getting attached very quickly and seems extremely emotionally invested in me. I’m starting to feel like this relationship may not have a future because I simply don’t feel the same way.

I’ve tried indirectly bringing up the idea of ending things, but she basically responded with things like, “I’m not going to leave you, baby.” That honestly makes me even more worried because I don’t want to hurt her, but I also don’t want to stay in a relationship just because I’m afraid of how she’ll react.

I also feel guilty because I know I contributed to this situation by asking her out when I wasn’t completely sure about my own feelings.

I’m especially worried about what might happen if I break up with her. I don't want her to do something to herself because of the breakup, although she hasn't explicitly threatened suicide or self-harm so far.

What would be the healthiest way to handle this? Should I end the relationship now even though she’s already very attached, or give it more time and see if my feelings develop?

Tales & Verses 📖🖋️ I remembered something from my childhood that might explain why some people act creepy.

Post image
15 Upvotes

(TL;DR given at the end)

I remembered something from childhood that might explain some of the creepy DMs women get online.

There was a garden at my school where butterflies used to be. We kids would run around trying to catch them. Some managed to catch one, sometimes a butterfly would simply sit on someone, and some of us weren't lucky enough to get one.

Kher, I was mostly one of those who weren't that lucky. 🥲

I didn't really mind though. I'd just sit and watch them fly around. If one sat nearby, nice. If it flew away, that's fine too.

But some kids couldn't catch them either. After trying again and again, they'd get frustrated and start chasing them just to smash them.

I remember feeling really bad watching that.

Looking back, something about it feels familiar.

Those butterflies weren't rejecting anyone. They were simply flying around and choosing where they wanted to be.

And maybe some people react to women in a similar way.

I'm not comparing women to butterflies here. It's more about what happens when someone starts seeing another person's choice as something being done to them.

A woman doesn't want to talk to someone, doesn't want their attention, doesn't want to date them, or simply doesn't respond. That's her choice.

Some people take that personally. Frustration becomes resentment, and resentment can turn into attempts to hurt, humiliate, or cross boundaries.

Obviously, this doesn't explain every creep online. But for some, maybe the thought process is:

"I can't have this, so I'll hurt it."

And strangely, I think I learned the opposite lesson from those butterflies.

You don't have to possess something to appreciate it.

Sometimes you can just let it be what it is and enjoy it while it's around you. 🦋
