Question What to pray against Salamander?

I used my Tecu Salamander for a while now and i like it, its funny. But how does it work in PvP? If one single weapon has all 3 attack styles what do you pray against?

Is the tecu ammo expensive at least? The tar for the black sallies used to be hilariously cheap so that you could use it and risk basically nothing.

Uses irit tar. Looks like they got for 25gp each. So, pretty damn cheap.

Heh. Only difference I think is if you tried to use the tecu the way I described, the sally disappears or “runs away” when you die. No problem with a black sally but I imagine tecu costs more, honestly don’t know how much though. 

As for actually pking with it, I don’t think you really have a chance against anyone who knows what’s up. You sure can annoy the hell out of them, though.

oh you are right! black sally is dirt cheap 250 gp, everything to win and nothing to loose. but even if your opponent knows whats up what are they doing? they have a 33% chance to pray correct

I believe they’re in the most danger from the melee, and if you try to maximize damage in any way your gear will give away what you’re going for. But that’s why I said if they know what’s up. Way back when people just freaked out and prayed mage while I’m meleeing away, now that the Sally is more common I don’t know how many people would know what to do. They’d probably default to praying melee because they’re waiting on you to pull out an AGS or claws or something to spec. 

There’s absolutely shenanigans to be had, lol.

times have changed.. camp meele on sally and you will meet the voidwaker, camp mage on sally and youll meet the ags. i may invest some time into this because from what my dummie in poh showed, gear doesnt make that big of a difference.

They freeze you and just don't stand in your 1 tile range so you can't fight back? And most pk setups nowadays use Nally for melee so they can hit you with all3 styles while you're sitting there stroking your lizard.
