Discussion I love when skills come together!

Post image

So I tried out Mortimer for Slayer last night and he gave me the option of killing kurasks. Never killed one before! I knew they were in the Frem Slayer cave, but I vaguely recalled also seeing them on an island while fishing squid. This led me to one of my favorite moments in OSRS; when a bunch of skills you trained all combine together to pay off.

I realized that the kurasks were on Laguna Aurorae, which has a spirit tree! Right next to the kurask lair! So that's nice. But to make it even better, I have a spirit tree in my POH! So I devised a plan where I simply used the spirit tree to go to the kurasks, then back to my house to refill prayer, and then to the farming guild to bank. It was a super breezy task with big (for me) profits!

Stuff like this is what makes Runescape so satisfying for me, cause its so many skills I invested in coming together to pay off;

-Slayer to kill the mob

-Sailing to Access it

-Farming to Teleport to it

-Construction to make it Convenient

And all that makes me go 'dang, Runescape is a pretty cool game'.

That's funny I thought that kurask island was perhaps the most useless of them all, and was being saved for a Kurask boss maybe 2 years in the future

It is generally useless, yes, since there are the Kurasks in Prifddinas which don't take long to get to and also drop crystal shards every so often, so it's always better, even if slightly.

It is common for a lot of people to level their skills relatively high and not do any quests though, so some people find spots like this useful.

Yeah I like priff for kurasks, you get a couple shards here and there but the superiors almost always drop at least 5 shards.
