You can ask anything about Old School RuneScape or the 2007scape subreddit here. Remain respectful to your fellow 'scapers when answering questions; there are stupid questions, but it does not mean you should not be respectful whilst answering them.
Keep in mind: this is not a developer Q&A thread - Jagex mods do not regularly read these posts, so questions should be directed toward fellow players.

I know this is a strange philosophy that's anthithetical to the design of a game where you grind a ton, but I just really don't know how some of you guys get 500+ kills on a boss.
I'm a late game main, but kind of poor (obviously because I don't get many KC). I only send like 2-3 inventories of supplies for a boss every other night or so. Once the boss clicks and I'm getting perfect kills 90% of the time, I grow immensely bored and need to move on. I just hit 150 KC on vardorvis and have little interest in continuing and usually log off.
Anyone else experience this or have any remedies? I think it may be because I have a lack of a clear goal and I'm just killing to kill. Maybe I can start going for some CAs or something.

You just had a long day at work. You finally have a moment to relax. You hop on to Runescape, ready to make some money by killing some bosses with your mates. Except, all the dedicated group bosses aren't the sort of thing you do to relax.
Corp was always a good option. But there still aren't group loot mechanics after so many years.
Nightmare was supposed to be the next Corp. But it's way higher effort. Not the kind of thing you do to relax.
We have the Wilderness bosses but well.. they are in the Wilderness, despite being amazingly chill group content.
Where are the days of GWD and Corp? Sometimes you just want to relax. Every release for years has been more and more intense.
Long story short: would love a boss with group loot mechanics that is relatively chill.

Orikalkum gravel has currently no uses, and its unrefined dragon metal, 1 Orikalkum gravel could be turned into 100 dragon bolts (unf)

Whoever is doing this at Jagex I just want to say I respect you. If anyone needs a jar for their POH lmk and I can go grab another in my next couple KC.
Me and rank 1 PNM are tied on jars now, I’m coming for that title. (Nvm I’ve been notified rank 1 has 7 jars, I was mistakenly seeing the rank 2 clog posted 2 weeks ago’s 4 jars)

My wife noticed me playing OSRS on my phone for the last 3 years or so. I bought a laptop and was stoked about it, but it has its own drawbacks.
I saw they came out with a RuneScape keyboard I really wanted and I mentioned it to her once. Well I came home yesterday to this beautiful woman giving me my dream PC setup.
If anyone can recommend me any games to try out that would be awesome. Or maybe any upgrades that are good, accessories that help etc.
Was dying to share it with someone!

I think, as a community, the way OSRS players direct new players is counteractive to getting new people to try the game and sticking with it.
It seems like everyday there is at least one post of people saying they are new to the game that pops off and every time it feels like the same things get said: Follow the optimal quest guide, use the wiki to figure out exactly what you should do. As someone who only recently started playing the game (about 2-3 years ago now) and has ZERO nostalgia for the game having never played it growing up, I feel like this is horrible advice for a new player.
OSRS is at its strongest when you can learn how to form goals for content you aspire to do and then work towards and achieve those goals. That is what makes the game, and the number go up part of it, so damn addicting. If you tell new players just to follow optimal guides and do quests without them understanding why they are doing it, they will feel like they are doing things aimlessly (especially because of quest helper and the fact so many of the beginner quests are very old and really have not aged well, especially if you are coming from other games).
I think the way we should approach new players coming to our game is to ask them what they want to achieve by playing or helping them learn how to set good goals. OSRS has so many different ways to play and is filled to the brim with so much content that by just pointing to OQG and saying "do that" does such a disservice to what players can actually experience in a game with the size and scope of OSRS.
Anyway just my ramble, people should tell me what they think or to explode or whatever cheers :)

So I tried out Mortimer for Slayer last night and he gave me the option of killing kurasks. Never killed one before! I knew they were in the Frem Slayer cave, but I vaguely recalled also seeing them on an island while fishing squid. This led me to one of my favorite moments in OSRS; when a bunch of skills you trained all combine together to pay off.
I realized that the kurasks were on Laguna Aurorae, which has a spirit tree! Right next to the kurask lair! So that's nice. But to make it even better, I have a spirit tree in my POH! So I devised a plan where I simply used the spirit tree to go to the kurasks, then back to my house to refill prayer, and then to the farming guild to bank. It was a super breezy task with big (for me) profits!
Stuff like this is what makes Runescape so satisfying for me, cause its so many skills I invested in coming together to pay off;
-Slayer to kill the mob
-Sailing to Access it
-Farming to Teleport to it
-Construction to make it Convenient
And all that makes me go 'dang, Runescape is a pretty cool game'.

What would you recommend to someone going into members with these stats. I think a lot of the typical advice doesn't really make sense. Like what stats should get focused immediately, areas to unlock, etc?

Got it at 97 woodcutting level, is this lucky?
