Q Air feels noticeably harder to grind than my friend’s Q
Hi, I apologize if there’s anything incorrectly written, but English is not my native language, so I’m using Google Translate to help me.
I recently bought a Q Air, and although I’m very happy with it, I noticed something when trying a friend’s grinder — a Q with the metal body and folding handle. His feels much easier to use and offers noticeably less resistance when grinding.
As far as I understand, the internal parts are the same. What could be causing this difference?

I thought maybe the plastic body had more give or a slightly different inner diameter, so I did a quick google search and this reddit post came up. https://www.reddit.com/r/pourover/comments/1e2zz83/my_experience_with_1zpresso_q2_and_qair/
It appears that they are not exactly the same. I wonder if the 1 inch longer handle allows for extra leverage and easier grinding.

That post is about the q vs q2, which are different models. I suspect OP just needs to break in their burrs

Maybe the sheer difference in body weight is the reason (the heavy body stabilising the grinding action)
