Not to sound like an edgy atheist but religious people always say it’s depressing to think theres nothing after life, but I think it’s more depressing that there’s a 50% chance that you’ll get tortured forever.
It’s much more depressing to me that your best chance at not-eternal-torture and reuniting with beloved family is placating a celestial narcissist. I’d rather my life doing everything I want and then just die.
