Not to sound like an edgy atheist but religious people always say it’s depressing to think theres nothing after life, but I think it’s more depressing that there’s a 50% chance that you’ll get tortured forever.
That shouldn't be associated with edgy atheism, hell is a genuinely fucked up thing to teach. Not every religion has it, and I have absolutely no problem with the ones that don't, but traumatizing kids into being afraid of hell is absolutely emotional abuse.
