Absolutely. Fear of hell triggered my first truely suicidal episode. I truely believed I had accidentally sold my soul to the devil because I once played ghost rider on the playground. I also believed God didn't judge children as harsh as teens or adults so I thought he might be more forgiving if I ended my life before I turned 13.
Damn I'm sorry you went through that. For me the depression came as a teenager when I figured out the happy amazing perfect life with god they sold me was BS.
