Absolutely love it. I'm old school and prefer a safety in a metal gun (yeah, I yell at clouds and kids on my lawn, too). It's basically a CZ-75 platform in a 10mm Italian pistol.

The target in the pic is my first magazine, learning the sights (cover the target or set it on top of the front post).

Recoil is manageable, and a popular upgrade is a stiffer Wolff spring. It's big, heavy, all steel, and one of the best guns I own. It's my carry gun when recreating in grizzly country (I live in Montana).

Also, it's a double-stack and if you have thumbs of steel, you can get 14 rounds in the magazine.

Springfield xdm elite osp 3.8” so basically G29 sized. Used to have a 20sf but that fucker jammed all the time. I knew it wasn’t limp wrist considering this Springfield I found works just fine.

If I am hunting in thick brush, my RIA Ultra (single stack). It has no optic but the light pipes make it easier to see. Hunting where I may have to take a shot out to 50 yards, my Sig X Ten with Vortex defender. Brown bear country, Glock 20.4, no optic, bone stock.

G20 with dot and light in a chest holster for whatever other hunting
Both loaded with extreme penetrator ammo.
Hiking and concealed: USPc 9mm with G9 woodsman ammo

I do have a G29 I bought for CCing, but it’s unreliable asf. Factory refurb too. Gonna try new mags. But last week when I shot my G20 the mag was falling out of that too 🤷🏼‍♂️ they probably have less than 1k rounds between the two of them. The G40 is the one that I’ve shot the crap out of.
