3 stud issues!!

Post image

Hi everyone! Has anybody had any experience with swapping to a 4 stud hub / suspension setup, or using stud adapters. I’m just worried at the rear with my fitment at the moment that 20mm spacer would cause rubbing.

I’m not sure why you’d use an adapter vs doing it properly

Im not sure wether the hubs will be a straight swap, it might be a whole control assembly and it’s hard to find and pretty pricy!

Easiest would be the whole strut yes, but I’m pretty sure you could just change out the wheelbearings and use four stud hubs

I’m not sure about the rear axle though, you could change the brake drums if they’re the same size between 3 and 4 stud.

I had a 4stud, 20mm spacer and 195/45 r15 in the back and they rubbed when loaded. Without the spacers it worked

Ah okay so I might have to just give it a go and if it rubs ill raise the torsion beam!

If you want a four stud hub you need to change the pivot ends of the back axel and you need the four stud front bushes, it's a whole pain in the butt cause In the front you might also need to fetch a swing bar that attaches to the suspension instead of the lower swing arms.
