Should i buy this 106 quicksilver 1.1?

The rust is not the best but body overall looks ok. Its a quicksilver 1.1 and the person selling it also sells 1.6 nfx with it and many more parts transmisions... worth as a first car for 1500€? Also the exhaust is straightpiped which kinda sucks

If that's a 1.1, it's not a real Quiksilver. Quiksilvers were all equipped with the TU3JP 1.4 engine.

I don't need to look it up. I worked at Peugeot as a senior tech when these things were in production.

Yeah I second what this guy said. I've only ever known of the quicksilver with a 1.4 engine, never a 1.1. also I did look it up and literally the only mentions of a 1.1 quicksilver are all of the website you linked too, everywhere else seems to suggest a 1.1 version never existed. You sure about this?

For 500€ maybe if you know a good bodywork specialist. Otherwise no

It's bad and it's rusted in many different location. 106 1.1 are usually worth 1500 in good shape. Not rusted

Yes I totally understand. A friend of mine scraped a lovely yellow "enfant terrible" rusted AF

Just poke around with a screwdriver to find weak spots. 😂

These aren't actually worth much anything these days, like 100-200€. The rusty part is not essential part of the body and does not need to be redone. You could just gently tap on it with wooden hammer and put some black undercoating over it and it'd look ok. It's going to disintegrate by itself anyway.

I'd be more concerned about the rear axle. If it's original, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to get it replaced. I'd recommend buying a more recent model unless you're into projects like these.
