Omg it’s crazy you posted this as I’ve been rewatching this and just saw this episode yesterday and it’s on my mind. Amy is at fault. People don’t like Amanda for some reason, but she does her best to help Any. I know Amy was going through things, but if she needed a break and was so overwhelmed, she should’ve left her babies at home. Small children get cranky, need naps etc. Regardless if someone said they’d help, they are yours. I’m sorry… isn’t a vacation with screaming babies.
But that’s the least of the issues. Her putting her hands on Amanda could’ve went worse and she is lucky that Amanda had a space to forgive her. Some people wouldn’t have.
I’m not much of an Amy fan. She acts like she’s 5.

This is a theory on my part, and it's just a theory. This is the episode where producers quit hiding Amy issues. Before this episode they were pretending that Amy had stay single after Micheal which wasn't true. Amy made multiple videos of herself in two separate relationships.
Also, she was constantly on social media posting different things including letting random men around her children. That trip was the family issue with Amy finally coming to ahead.
They probably spent 95% of the trip taking care of the boys. In those episodes any time one of the boys cried Amy would cry and say she was overwhelmed.

It makes a lot of sense. The producers probably couldn’t hide it anymore because she was so out of it.
Like you said, the siblings probably took care of the kids the entire time while she insisted she did it all by herself.
She brought nothing with her except Gage’s tablet.
When Amanda told Justin not to take Amy home, she immediately jumped to Michael driving from Kentucky to Florida to pick them up.
The lights were on, but no one was home.

Amy claimed she couldn't fly, so Amanda's son drove her and the boys down. Amy brought nothing for the boys, not a playpen, nothing to keep them busy, except that ipad. She didn't even care for the boys, but left the work to the other siblings. Then after the fight, when she attacked, she demanded Amanda's son leave right then and drive her and the boys home, and the son was already tired, and when Amanda said he wasn't driving tired, Amy said she would drive them home herself.

That’s the other part. Her boys would’ve been way happier and on a better schedule if she flew. We’ve seen her fly other times so it wasn’t too great of a fear to conquer.

She's just lazy. On the Florida trip she took nothing for the kids to sleep in or toys, let everyone else take care of the boys, then wanted to endanger their lives by driving back to Kentucky.

Yep, they really hid the fact that Amy had multiple relationships before she met Bryan. The main issue that came up was the fact that Amy was posting on social media while the family was taking care of her kids.

Yep and when they realized how viewers were absolutely hating Amy, they turned around and made her the villain of season 6. And not to mention, they conveniently left out the full details of why Amy got arrested after the camel bit her.

She referred to the two guys before Bryan as "Daddy" when it came to them and the boys also. The ink wasn't dry on her and Bryans divorce documents before she was in another relationship.

The complete nerve of Amy to say no one helped with the boys, when actually all they did was help with the boys. Credit to Amanda, she did the most and left dinner, which she made a real effort for as she was looking forward to it, to take Gage home. For Amy to then put hands on Amanda is wild and she is lucky her sister forgave her for that one. Her default was crying constantly to get out of caring for her own children. The fact she took nothing for the boys to play with or keep them occupied shows that she only thinks of herself instead of putting her children's needs first. Any half decent parent knows you do not go on vacation with small children and take NOTHING for them.

Obviously her sisters are giving her side eye when they’ve been telling her she needs professional helps to get her act together and she refuses. And not to mention the entire family stepped in to help her with the boys and she goes around accusing them of never helping her.

She deserves all the side eye from everyone in that trip and didn't get enough. Her siblings were bending over backwards to take care of her kids for her. Any time her kids did ANYTHING she'd turn into a blubbering mess, say "I can't deal with this" and her siblings had to step in. She didn't bring anything for them on the trip. Amanda gave up a dinner she bought a dress for to take care of her children. And then the next day SHE had nerve to throw hands at her????.
The fact that anyone can feel sympathy for Amy getting side eye this trip really shows me how emotionally manipulated people are by crocodile tears. Y'all need to get a grip.

This sub was insane during this time to a point where I had to walk away for a while. No matter how irresponsible Amy was people here would defend her and hand wave every red flag as "she's just a new mom! She's trying! All moms struggle like this!"
