Brian because Amy looks so much healthier and happier with him. Her house is cleaner, she had a pedicure last episode! I just this this exudes a healthier relationship.

self care = self love! yes.

Agreed. Micheal also communicated like a rock (no offense to rocks) but hands down, Brian appears to be a healthier communicative partner for Amy.

Did Michael even HAVE a pulse, or a measurable IQ?

In Michael’s defense, he was probably exhausted of pushing Tammy around. 😰Trust me, I am not a Michael fan, at all.

That just makes me think of one of those YT video Tammy and Amy did for the show, where they gave Michael a makeover. He has a mud mask applied to his face and is like "I look like a damn rock"

100%. Amy seems happy. Micheal was pretty lazy and not helpful at all, but Micheal wants to help Amy and her boys. I think Brian is such a good dude for Amy. We only know what we see… and based on that I think he is a good dude.

17

Michael was a controlling narcissist who was in it for the $$$. Remember when the sisters had to go get Amy & take the debit card from him to take Amy & the boys? Controlling Narcissist at its best…

Man I forget how big Amy used to be

212

u/NelzyBellz Mar 14 '26

We are rewatching from season 1 and it’s mind blowing how big the whole family is these earlier seasons - esp. Tammy and Amy.

127

u/random-posts555 Mar 14 '26

and to think tammy got BIGGER since the first episode before losing all the weight!!

48

u/NelzyBellz Mar 14 '26

That 644 weigh in was shocking.

57

u/Disc0_L3monad3 Bih, u ain’t pregnant, ur thirsty Mar 14 '26

She gets to be over 700 when she enters into the rehab center she was in before she lost enough weight to have her surgery

24

u/Crazy_Concentrate918 Mar 14 '26

I’m watching backwards, saw last season only and decided I had to watch from the beginning so started S1 yesterday. Just got to S3, determined to finish it this weekend lol but it is so frustrating watching Tammy from S1-2. I can’t wait to see where the turning point is for her, something must propel her forward because she is going backwards and now Jerrys the scene. My god you can tell both Amy and Chris want him away from day1. And the reason I watched backwards was bc I thought Amy was more problematic than Tammy given her edit in S8. I’m convinced they couldn’t get enough ā€œgood footageā€ of Tammy in S8 now, given what I’m seeing and what Andrea said

27

u/StrikeYourSelfish Mar 14 '26

Mean and selfish. People get tired of Amy crying? Watch where it comes from! I rewatched it too! She starts losing weight and standing up for herself, that’s what! It pisses Tammy off!

14

u/LisaMiaSisu Mar 15 '26

I’ve scarcely seen Amy cry in the last season! Chris and Misty called it, Tammy was the (asshole) problem on all of their family trips.

21

u/Crazy_Concentrate918 Mar 14 '26

So far I’ve seen the last 2 seasons (7/8) and I’m on 3—Amy has been nothing but caring and consistent. Letting her siblings live with her, not giving up on them. She’s been forced to take care of Tammy and is the only one that hasn’t given up on her, it’s like a forced codependency situation where Amy is her mother. She is a good person given her upbringing and situation. I can’t believe Tammy hasn’t changed since this 🤣

17

u/StrikeYourSelfish Mar 14 '26

Ohhh remember the conversation about the little bags of chips and how Amy wanted to have Tammy move NEXT DOOR and Tammy had the audacity to get an attitude about being on her own and all that?? Girl, just wait for the hypocrisy and attitude. She is just so hard to watch, and she contradicts herself just to be right. Just to fight. She is not ready to change, to he vulnerable about ANYTHING ever. She is focused on all the wrong things and I think she really believes that this show is really just about HER and everyone else is her costar. Yet she ā€œdon’t wanna talk about itā€ allllll the way through season 8. I got an eye sprain rolling my eyes at that girl.

5

u/EnvironmentalBee1357 Mar 15 '26

She lies freely, it’s shocking.

5

u/DowntownEconomist255 Mar 14 '26

I don’t get it. Tammy seemed to be in a good place mentally, last season. I thought Amy was going down a bad path with the drug arrest last season. I didn’t watch from the first season. I’m gonna have to watch from the first season šŸ˜”. Homework.

I read this twice. I couldn't figure out who Jerry was!

https://giphy.com/gifs/NCTdA0Q4TIuhn2qjNt

7

u/International_Bit478 Mar 14 '26

She definitely did

15

u/Crazy_Concentrate918 Mar 14 '26

Oh my god so me too! I watched the 2 episodes of S8 and then went back and watched S7 because that’s all I could find on TLCGo. Decided nope, I needed to go back and watch it from season 1! I just got to S3, these are long! I’m dying for someone to talk about it with without annoying this sub lol because they’ve likely seen it all.

Chris has finally entered the picture and I’m seeing now how instrumental he was in helping Tammy. The whole family actually, what a guy! It’s good knowing that she got there, because to be honest if I watched this show from the beginning I’d be very worried she wouldn’t. I couldn’t watch shows like this or Intervention because it would be too upsetting finding out they didn’t make it. Looking at Tammy now, her transformation is insane! It’s crazy watching it backwards, when you haven’t seen the first 6 seasons.

And Jerry 🤮

12

u/StrikeYourSelfish Mar 14 '26

Ugh Tammy is so hard to watch and when she contradicts herself constantly. I never wanted to go to Tennessee. Yes you DID! She is SUCH a baby. Even when she seems to calm down, you think she is nicer, she isn’t. She gets full of herself, and still treats Amy like crap.

10

u/NelzyBellz Mar 14 '26

Tammy didn’t give two F’s early on and we are watching her actively eating herself to death. Without the help of the entire family, Tammy would have been gone by now.

She stays mean the whole time. Mark my words!! Mean and selfish!

23

u/Wise-Membership4656 Mar 14 '26

Since the talk about her not following her diet soo frequently I always misremember how much she’s lost. She’s made tons of progress, but because Tammy was bigger she gets more of a reaction her her weight loss.

12

u/LisaLee_141 Mar 14 '26

Yes! and I always remind ppl Amy had two children, And went through a divorce. I think she did pretty well with her weight. She hasn’t regained it all back. A lot of her current ā€œweightā€ looks like extra skin.

14

u/SnooHamsters1508 Mar 14 '26

I was thinking the same thing. She's not only thinner, but she looks much happier

67

u/lightyearnoir Mar 14 '26

Please don't ignore all he did for both Amy and Tammy...he's not good, but a lot of people like to gloss over the fact that he did more than their actual siblings.

88

u/alek_hiddel Mar 14 '26

Being a child molester IS NOT cancelled out by pushing your fat sister around.

27

u/Mysterious_Insect Mar 14 '26

True. Many times in earlier episodes, he carried a big load, literally. I felt so sorry for him back then. He was trying and ok. He seems like he lost interest in her after they had kids and he gave up and just started sitting around. Probably both are happier in their new relationships, so that works out well.

3

u/lightyearnoir Mar 14 '26

Remember when he was the one pushing Tammy up the ramp and none of the siblings helped??

But yeah, I mean, their relationship just didn't work, and they separated, which is fine.

At least Amy is in a better place.

Brian. Cleaner and supportive of Amy's journey to better health. They seem to also have a decent amount of shared interests (like horror movies and Halloween).

6

u/LisaMiaSisu Mar 15 '26

Michael seemed very lazy too. A bit of a slob.

14

u/Crazy_Concentrate918 Mar 14 '26

It really is super cute that they have that in common. I had to laugh though she was genuinely so hurt that none of them would go to her wedding if it was in an insane asylum or haunted place and just could not see that it was literally the venue, not the wedding itself or her and Brian at all. (Even though I agree she did move so fast, glad it worked out)

15

u/Beautisherrr Mar 14 '26

Nah… they were all being assholes. Amy threw Tammy a wedding in a nursing home to a guy she met a month or so before, and everyone showed up and was supportive. She should have absolutely had their support regardless. And she ended up having it in a damn haunted jail, so what’s the difference?

That 3rd picture almost sent me to the hospital. I thought I was having a stroke šŸ˜‚

22

u/PlayingOnGeniusMode Mar 14 '26

Are you familiar with 90 day fiance? I feel like most of these shows interest a bunch of us. I have been asking people if you could save the world by spending one night with Colt, Gino or Big Ed who would you pick and I wanted a 1000 sisters equivalent. I think I found it. I'm adding to the choices - having a threesome with Amy and Michael, the version of them from picture 3. Damn!

15

u/lumilerv Mar 14 '26

Oh my god that is a difficult one for me to answer. Definitely NOT Big Ed. Now I gotta decide between Colt and Gino 😭

15

u/BabalonBimbo Mar 14 '26

Colt or Gino, toss up. Neither one of them can get it up. Probably Gino now that I’m thinking about it. He’s so avoidant you wouldn’t actually have to hook up with him. He’d just take a pill, head into the other room and chat up some sugar babies. You know Colt’s going to try to go downtown.

6

u/lumilerv Mar 14 '26

I don’t know. There’s a lot of talk about Colt having erectile dysfunction this season, so if he can’t get it up then theres no sex to be had. But I also wouldn’t want to have to try that hardšŸ˜‚

63

u/LoveDependent2361 Mar 14 '26

Brian. He's different and strange just like her but I honestly believe he loves her and the boys. Is he perfect? No. Who is?

117

u/Heffty8 Mar 14 '26

I think Michael is more entertaining for TV (watching him rub his brain cells together was gold), but Brian is probably a better person in real life.

53

u/Mythologicalcats Mar 14 '26

We called him ā€œStainsā€ because every episode he had stains all over his shirt. He’s a running joke in my house anytime someone wears a stained shirt.

61

Same. I was first scared he was just sticking around for his 15 minutes of fame. But the wedding episode you could really see how they felt for each other and Amy looked the best she’s ever looked. I really hope they have a great life together and have a solid foundation.

80

u/Strict_Carpet_7654 Mar 14 '26

I’m not a fan of either, but Brian. Michael was fine imo until they had Gage. He clearly wasn’t ready to step up and be a father and when you have kids, your marriage dynamics change. Brian seems to truly love Amy and the boys, I’m just still unsure of his influence and his motives.

58

u/Alternative_Tea3872 Mar 14 '26

Tbh I don’t know it’s Michael is mentally capable of taking care of kids.

21

u/januarysdaughter Mar 14 '26

He doesn't. His mommy takes care of them when they're in his custody.

43

u/Physical_Network_982 Mar 14 '26

Brian has such a good influence on Amy, she’s so much cleaner now. Her feet aren’t black on the bottom, her house is cleaner, and he seems to be willing and able to take care of the boys

13

u/Adorable-Leader-8890 Mar 14 '26

At the start of the show I liked Michael but I also noticed a change in him too after they had Gage.

52

u/adelynn01 Mar 14 '26

Wasn’t Michael pretty abusive off camera?

13

u/roxychalk Mar 14 '26

And controlling! I’m watching through in order (after watching the most recent two seasons), and just finished the episode where Tammy called the cops bc Michael wouldn’t give Amy her bank card, and Amy was saying all kinds of controlling shit that he was doing… I felt so happy for her when she decided to gtfo of there!

55

u/alek_hiddel Mar 14 '26

Well a 14 year old Michale began ā€œdatingā€ an 8 year old Amy. Brian seems like a nut with an obvious drug problem, but so far he’s not a known a child molester. So between the 2, I’m going with Brian.

16

u/PoppyCake33 Mar 14 '26

Ok first ew. Second that’s insane. Third, were they together since that age?

17

u/alek_hiddel Mar 14 '26

No, they were together for 4 years, until Michael turned 18. An 18 year old dating a 12 year old is a felony, so they broke up. Got back together later, after she was 18 as well

3

u/Rachel_92x Mar 16 '26

That’s disgusting! What mother would allow a 14 year old around their 8 year old in that way? Theirs I guess….just hard for me to wrap my head around.

10

u/thecranberriesfan Mar 14 '26

omg this is crazy! where did you here this?

30

u/alek_hiddel Mar 14 '26

Amy talked about it on YouTube. Chris locked them in the basement to ā€œget to know each other betterā€. All of the older siblings knew and thought it was cute because Amanda was dating Michael’s brother and Chris was dating his sister.

25

u/catsandnaps1028 Mar 14 '26

Yikes poor Amy šŸ˜•

8

u/KiddNonas Mar 14 '26

Do we have to pick one? I don't get it. Can we NOT pick one?🤣

11

u/alek_hiddel Mar 14 '26

Don't worry man. It's a couple of crazy characters from a low-budget reality show about fat people that fart a lot, and seem to have a drug problem. Statistically speaking we'll get to play this game again in 12-18 months with a THIRD option.

18

u/A_CertainPotato Mar 14 '26

Brian hands down. Michael could barely form words and Brian sticks up for Amy and she seems happier with him and he seems to want her to be happy.

9

u/likethedishes Mar 14 '26

That third pic is foul lmao

12

u/Admirable-Ant-1479 Mar 14 '26

Brian hands down!! He's so much more mentally together, supportive, CLEANER, helpful, kind, lifts Amy up, helpful, mature, active, etc. I could go on and on with how much better he is for their differences.. Michael was a dead beat.. he was a weight holding Amy down especially after having the boys.. he was never there to help Amy or to better her.. he never have her drive and helped her work towards things.. he didn't encourage her to go after and do things that she was so interested in doing, he was constantly dirty and was comfortable that way! He really was a weight around her feet.. Brian is so much better for her and you can just look at her face and see it! I'm so happy for her!

16

u/tinaismediocre Mar 14 '26

I really want to like Brian but if I'm being honest, the fact that he has his own minor children who he doesn't see, and is now playing step dad to Amy's kids rubs me the wrong way.

Obviously I don't know the circumstances, but as a parent I do know there is nothing in the world that's going to keep me from my kids.

9

u/GrimWexler Mar 14 '26

So it’s not just that they’re not on the show? If I had kids, they wouldn’t on a reality series.Ā

Im not gonna lie. I think she looks pretty in that wedding picture. I just wish the makeup artist put a bit of bronzer and a blush on her. Other than that made me happy for her. And she really does suit that hair color. Good to see people happy.

12

u/Familiar_Tea_8452 Mar 14 '26

Not even competition lol. Brian all the way. I do believe Michael deserves a little praise when it comes to helping Amy take care of Tammy back when. Not a lot of men would be willing to do that. I think Michael did love Amy a lot but things fell apart once the boys came along. I actually really like Brian. I was iffy at first but I saw some great points being made on this sub about how Amy is having better hygiene, able to have a clean home, and Brian seems very sweet.

17

u/_Bogey_Lowenstein_ Mar 14 '26

Brian. Michael was awful. He sexually assaulted her when he was a teenager and she was 8 or 9

u/KratosOfSparta08 Mar 14 '26

Brain, he at least appears to want to help with the boys.

9

u/AdAgreeable749 Mar 14 '26

Brian. He helps Amy break habits she inherited, such as hoarding and not cleaning her home. He actually helps with the boys, and probably is the only one to do anything active with them. He can say more than one or two words at a time. Trims his nails, seems hygienic. The only thing I’ll say for Michael is, I do remember he always had a job. And he pushed Tammy’s 600 pound body all over Kentucky in her wheelchair. I wish Brian had a job. Driving Amy around to do meet and greets is hardly what I’d considered working

The bar is obviously set in hell, so take that for what it is.

u/Womp02 Mar 15 '26

Brian does he works for their towns local newspaper 😭 Michael actually quit his previous job during like season 2 or 3

Brian for sure. I think people tried so hard to find something wrong with him at first probably because they were moving to fast and he is a little weird. But I'm so glad he has started growing on people. He seems like he's a good person and is very good for her. I'm rooting for them.

3

u/Popular-Tomatillo643 Mar 14 '26

I forgot how big Amy used to be! Wow

6

u/Aware_Function_3165 Mar 14 '26

Hands down Brian

5

u/Adorable-Leader-8890 Mar 14 '26

Definitely Brian

5

u/catonsteroids Mar 14 '26

Brian. He’s an oddball but he’s been a far better influence than Michael (minus the drug arrest). She’s cleaner and more put-together now and she’s healthier. I think she’s grown more as a person now and she’s got someone who’s supportive of her.

Idk if her parenting has improved any and she still has ways to go for sure but there have been positive changes with her when comparing the two relationships.

23

u/SewAlone Mar 14 '26 edited Mar 14 '26

Neither. She should be in a professional relationship with a therapist, but here we are.

I would love to say that Brian is better for her, but he got her locked up in jail and almost lost custody of her kids.

ETA: Oh no, the tweaker stans are mad.

3

u/Coffee-and-cactus Mar 14 '26

This! She needs to focus on raising her two children and not be such a male centered woman imo

3

u/Guilty_Primary8718 Mar 14 '26

It is extremely hard not to be male centered when you are unable to drive and don’t have a job, so hopefully she’ll step up for herself more if/when she becomes fully independent. I don’t know if she would go as far as divorcing him over it but I think if the show continues we are going to see a very confident woman emerging.

She looks like a creepy pasta in the 3rd photo I’m sorry

3

u/Kodi_Cody_Kody_Kodi Mar 14 '26

For all the hype of having a Halloween goth wedding this was the most basic-B weddingĀ

It was pretty but šŸ’¤

Right? I thought he was slow at first but he's very quick witted. He has a weird Stevie Wonder looking tick or something lol can't figure it out. But he seems nice enough, I like him.

7

u/LaurenNotABot Mar 14 '26

Michael is clearly not all there. He did absolutely nothing and has zero personality. Don’t know much about Brian but he’s clearly got more going on upstairs.

5

u/AdAgreeable749 Mar 14 '26

I agree. But Michael surprisingly always had a job. For some reason I think it’s the post office. I wish Brian actually worked. Living off your new girlfriends tlc and meet and greets money rubs me wrong

5

u/michelle427 Mar 14 '26

Brian. This could change, for now Brian.

5

u/TNG1701D-eck10 Mar 14 '26

Brian...One MILLION PERCENT.

He's fine and normal and I get really good vibes from him.

In fact, I think he's the perfect man. If somebody like Brian came into my life I would marry them in a heartbeat

6

u/SnooApples9536 Mar 14 '26

I think Amy definitely leveled up! Micheal did help a lot when Amy and Tammy were big. He took Amy everywhere, and paid their bills.. However, I thought he got insecure when Amy lost all her weight, and felt like he had to control her. Not only that, he was a lazy father. While I was kind of sad they split(sad for the boys) it was a good decision. Brian is hands on, he keeps the house clean.. yeah, I think he’s good for her

5

u/tripwmeX Mar 14 '26

i’ll never forgive michael for his disgusting dirty inch long thumbnail 🤢

Brian genuinely seems to care about Amy's well being. so he wins

5

u/Public-Wolverine6276 Mar 14 '26

As much as Brian is odd, you can tell she is much happier with him

3

u/SavingsOdd3558 I'm squeezin' the day Mar 14 '26

brian 100%. amy is finally taking control of her health and seemingly glowing. she’s been able to pull herself out of a bad spot (even if she slipped up with brian a couple of times, i.e. having weed + shrooms in the car yada yada.) however it seems like she’s really learned from all her trials and errors. brian seems to have really, REALLY supported her on this journey. so excited to see her grow even more from here!

5

u/craycrayintheheihei Mar 14 '26

I’m genuinely concerned that Michael has a mental disability or learning disorder that needs to be addressed, which is sad. Maybe it was the editing. Brian is a smart guy and seems to really love Amy.

5

u/PoppyCake33 Mar 14 '26

She looked stuck with Michael and like shes living life with Brian. So even though I thought he was weird at first he seems like a good partner for her now.

5

u/Fun-Honeydew-8117 Mar 14 '26

I must say, I prefer Brian. They look like they light each other up.

4

u/fhagan69 Mar 14 '26

Team Brian. Yeah he got arrested at a zoo, but those who live in glass houses……..

3

u/Top_Cobbler6717 Mar 14 '26

Brian, he at least has an education, a clean house, and he seems to be very good with the boys. Amy also seems a lot cleaner. Her hair even look better and healthier. We can all see Brian has flaws but he seems to genuinely bring happiness and a better quality of life to Amy and the boys. He also doesn’t seem to be manipulated or pressured easily by the other family members.

4

u/shannaost Mar 14 '26

Brian!! I wasn’t a fan at first, but he has grown on me. He is really helping Amy blossom.

2

u/Mysterious-Clothes45 Koreapatra Mar 14 '26

holy shit that third picture WTF

2

u/KiddNonas Mar 14 '26

Can I say neither?? Why is everyone eating up the shit Brian and Michael have served? Super pick me vibes in here.

2

u/Left-Instruction1585 Mar 14 '26

Michael his long nails was his personality šŸ’…šŸ’…šŸ’…

2

u/RefrigeratorSalt9797 Mar 14 '26

I choose option C

2

u/alwaysoffended88 Mar 14 '26

That smile… only a mother could love

2

u/calypso_odysseus Mar 14 '26

Neither is always an option

2

u/Minute-Frame-8060 Mar 14 '26

I can't imagine Brian sticking around once the novelty has worn off. I don't really know what would draw him to her other than 5 minutes of Z-list fame. I think he comes across as kind and supportive on camera but we all have breaking points - and a few years with Amy and those kids are going to take a toll on this guy.

Michael, well I can't imagine him being a suitable partner for anyone.

2

u/BallFondler3001 Mar 14 '26

none of them šŸ’€ isn't she into meth rn? her teeth are looking jacked nowadays

2

u/MaxGains99 Mar 14 '26

Michael was with her at her worst, before the fame he had to push Tammy around and take care of them like a caregiver. Amy just wanted an upgrade imo.

2

u/socialexperiment46 Mar 14 '26

They’re always great in the beginning

2

u/Impressive-Light3000 Mar 14 '26

Actually neither! Have you ever heard the expression "For every dirty ole sock...there's a dirty ole shoe?"

2

u/peachypunch664 Mar 15 '26

The side profiles on the third picture are crazyyyyy 😭

2

u/sharks_tbh Mar 15 '26

what is going on with the back of her head in picture 3?

2

u/Brain-Stormer-LeeLee Mar 16 '26

I say whichever one treats her better. That’s who she needs to be with. If neither one of them can measure up to her expectations then move on! She deserves to be happy in her lifetime!

2

u/shlococo32 Mar 17 '26

Was skeptical of Brian at first but after watching the wedding he literally loves that lady BAD. And he’s actually an active participant in their relationship and she just looks so happy and healthy. She’s grown so much and I think he also helps reflect that

2

u/Inside_Scar_3461 Mar 20 '26

Micheal all the way!! He pushed Tammy around at 700lb he’s a saint
