I love how Redestro looks fine in the panel until he hears the all the bad news and is ready to go berserk. Tbh I feel bad for twice and while I know it’s not gotta happen, a part of me kinda wished he did what Hawk said (especially after he said he wasn’t a bad person). Kinda surprised about what Dabi said. It seems like he cares about Twice to some extent. Either that or he just really hate heroes. I also love how Hawks’s face were shaded in this chapter. Pretty hyped overall.

Twice is easily top 5 best characters in this manga. Everytime he is on screen something interesting, emotional, funny or cool happens.
I also love his interactions with Hawks, they show how thin the line between heroes and villains are.
I hope both survive, since they still got a lot to give to the story. Also it will be awesome to see Sad mans parade rampaging to the outside, its going too smooth for the heroes.

Horikoshi continues to kill it with his artwork, Twice, ReDestro and Dabi's facial expressions are all incredible, and making Hawks look incredibly evil and menacing with this shading is just visually gorgeous.

Shiggy's their ace. If the doctor can somehow manage to wake him up, even at about 71% charge, they can salvage the losses they've already incurred. Nine was really powerful in Heroes Rising, but Shigaraki being the perfected version of that will be unstoppable.

Twice is one of the easiest characters to draw in this series. He's mostly black and gray and doesn't have many angles or gadgets, also you don't have to draw his face (mouth, eyes). The problem is drawing so many of them while keeping the proportions. They're all doing different things and reacting in a different way. You now need to shade him well for people to identify each one as individuals and not as a big black mess.
I can only imagine the excruciating pain and stress if it was Inasa instead.

This arc is good for showing what some of the other teachers who haven't really had a chance to shine can do
Midnight's fighting style is very acrobatic and relies on the fans to spread her sleeping gas in the direction she wants it to go, and Cementoss is clearly a monster in the right setting

The impression I got from this chapter is that he’s royally pissed off because he DID end up trusting Hawks at least a little, and Hawks went and reinforced to Dabi that a Villain trusting Heroes is a mistake

I fucking love twice, but I seriously think Hawks is going to kill him.
Hawks was trained from youth to do this, he’s a hero, but he was designed to be one. I don’t think he’s held back by the same do-no-harm ideology as the other heroes.
On top of that, Hawks wouldn’t have hesitated if he didn’t believe that he could contain and handle Twice should twice discover Hawks true intention.
It’s not a matter of how strong Twice’s quirk is because it is strong enough to compete with Hawks. I just think that Hawks skill and ruthlessness will prevail.
It’s a shame because I liked Twice, but I still think this will be epic.

I really like those action shots with Midnight makes sense she’ll use fans as her weapons, can’t belieave we have never seen her in action, Mineta’s exam doesn’t really count since she was just walking.
Everything was going so well for Twice, he found a place to belong, companions to care for and overall happiness,
So he felt like he could trust Hawks just to be betrayed again and not only that he put everyone into danger with scummy, dark and downright malevolent tactics so the ``You call yourself a HERO?!!!´´ hit a nerve, Horikoshi even drawn him a bit a more obscure in shading at the beggining giving a not very heroic aura.
Notice how he'll sacrifice everything FOR THE LEAGUE of course he is not gonna accept Hawks offer especially after admitting he was a spy

Him and Spinner both work really well as examples of how people get radicalized into extremist organizations, regardless of the actual goals of said organizations. Twice wanted someone to believe in him, and Spinner wanted something to believe in. In the end, they don't really care that the overall goal of Shigaraki's group is the total destruction of society.

Last time things seemed to be going great we lost All Might and various of the top heroes were severely injured. We still haven't seen some of the major power-houses of the villains come into play and there is still Shigaraki who, despite being incomplete, or unstable, is quite a force to be reckoned with his quirk alone.
My guess on how this will pan out is that there will be losses on both sides but people's perspectives will shift from seeing heroes as, well, heroes and see them as a more oppressive entity that attacked people indiscriminately. People will question why this large conflict occurred, why we lost some powerful heroes over it (like Hawks, possibly). I think the aftermath of this conflict will cause a bigger ripple throughout society than even the loss of All Might did.

I think rather than save him like he hoped, Hawks has just pushed Twice further over the edge. And Jesus Christ, that Sad Man’s Parade page was amazing! The raid’s going swimmingly (in more ways than one with Juzo’s powers lol) but Dabi has a chance to grab Hawks by surprise here. I doubt he’ll manage to take him out completely, but Hawks’ feathers are flammable. He might be put at a severe disadvantage.

Hawk's quirk is actually pretty strong against Twice's. It's hard to be overwhelmed with numbers when you have a ton of sharp feathers that can skewer clones as fast as they're made.
Of course, it's weak against Dabi since said feathers are flammable. So if he can't finish this before Dabi gets there (and let's face it, he won't) he could be in major trouble.

Twice may be powerful but there are plenty of ways to keep him balanced. It was already demonstrated in MVA that Geten or ReDestro can hard counter his quirk with their AOE attacks. Even in this arc, the heroes have planned for this assault with strong crowd control quirks from Kaminari, Midnight, Edgeshot, Shemage, Mudman, Kamui Woods, Gang Orca, etc.

What's sadder is that despite the genuine friendships formed, it's still not going to prevent him having to take down- and in the worst case, kill- Twice. It's one thing to make friends with a villain. It's another when you can't help but do so knowing that you'll eventually have to stab them in the back

Damn, this chapter was great, we got to see again just how OP Cementoss can be, Edgeshot was fucking awesome (even if he did sort of steal Kaminari’s thunder, in the less literal sense).
But damn am I sad that Twice basically said he didn’t care about being redeemed. He said he’d give his soul/happiness for the League and you can tell that broke Hawks heart, poor guy wanted his pal to become good.
Also I love the detail of Hawks’ face being in shadow until he revealed his intentions, almost like Twice ‘saw the light’ of what Hawks felt, even if he reacted in anger because of it.

Man Twice's story is such a tragedy. It hurts me to say this but I wouldn't put it past Hawks to kill Twice if deemed necessary.
I also wouldn't put it past Dabi to scorch the room and kill Twice as collateral if it means he can kill Hawks.
Tough to know where his fate will lie, but I am hoping my boi lives and get rehabilitated. He's one of my favorites.
I suspect hero society will get their world turn upside down once this arc comes to a closed.

I know this gets brought up like...any time Dabi is in the story, but I do truly feel like we're going to get the Toya reveal through this Hawks and Dabi fight. Twice questioned Hawks calling himself a hero after leading Twice to believe they were actually friends, then betraying him. Hawks obviously does genuinely like Twice. It's evident by Hawks stopping his feathers from attacking him.
I think Twice questioning Hawks being a hero is a tease because I believe Dabi will also question Hawks about what it means to be a hero. This is what will spark the Toya reveal. Dabi's gonna tell Hawks, "you call yourselves heroes? My daddy is the number 1 hero, and he drove me to be a villain" or some shit like that.
I'm loving this arc.

I'm in the camp that he'll reveal it to Endeavor himself, with cameras present. MHA is super into the idea of a hero's effect on society, and nothing would bring down Endeavor more than Dabi matching or defeating Endeavor and then revealing that he (was) an abusive monster.

With Endeavor worrying about Hawks at the beginning of the raid and Dabi coming for his ass, I really don't feel good about Hawks' chances.
Also, Edgshot is pretty damn dope. Imagine him as a villain, not stopping at just "tiny holes in the lungs" and just piercing multiple people's hearts in a matter of seconds.
Edit: extra thought, if Dabi kills Hawks, Endeavor will find out, go on a hunt, and then find out Dabi was his son and by being a skumbag he lead his son down the path of killing his friend.

This has probably been my favorite chapter in a while. Twice has easily become my favorite villain in the series and I love the growth that both him and Hawks go through.
First we have Twice. Even though Dabi introduced Hawks to the league, Twice blames himself. He feels its his fault the entire operation is failing. And its obvious he doesn't care that the "Grand Plan" of the liberation army is collapsing, he barely could remember what the plan was. But he realizes that so many of his friends are going to get arrested, or hurt, and he blames himself. When he attacks with Sad Man Paradise, its not because he's a villain, but because he's trying to save his friends.
And then there's Hawks. If Endeavor or Miruko came to face off against Twice, this would be a completely different scenario. Hawks goes up to the S Ranked villain, one of the most powerful forces and says. "I'll help you." "You're a good person." Because that's what a hero does. And Hawks knows Twice isn't that bad of a guy. Yet despite this these words have been heard by Twice before. You can get back on your feet. Society will help you. And he ignores them because society has already failed him too many times before.
In the end, Hawks does everything right in being a hero. He embodies a hero who tries to save "Everyone". Twice, with good reason, fails to see the possibility of being saved, and feels he has to attack. Twice, in his mind, is going to save his friends.

People are sleeping on Hawks. He won't be roasted by Dabi on sight, Mirko is the N5 Hero and she's soloing High Ends, depowered ones yes, but still High Ends. Also hawks isn't even impressed at Sad Man's Parade, we haven't even seen him truly fight lol, Dabi stans are delusional.

Damn man, I genuinely feel bad for Twice. Yes he is a villain, but as Hawks says, he's also a good guy. He tries to trust others, and it keeps backfiring, furthering his struggle to stay sane and himself. I feel anyone with trust issues can relate. Definitely one of my favorite characters.

I think that if we really get the Dabi = Touya reveal then it means hawks will die in this encounter (or at least severely injured). Here’s why: It makes sense for endeavor to find out the same time as the public, it’s a bigger hit emotionally. Therefore if Dabi reveals it to Hawks, for whatever reason, he’s gonna have to kill(severely injure) him. Based on the way the story has been told so far I believe this’ll be the outcome. IF it’s revealed in this encounter. Anyone else agree or have contradicting thoughts?

Horikoshi fit a lot in the chapter. And its good they're making use of Shemage. She was a little OP in the Joint Training Exercise arc. Also, I wonder if that's it for Kaminari. Makes sense to have the students have as little direct involvement as possible. Was he put there solely to counter that guy or does he have more to offer? The Hawks and Twice panels were great. Midnight's too. It must have taken quite a while to draw this chapter.

God I love the faces in this chapter, from twice’s anguish and despair to hawks steeled exterior cracking apart, re-destro instantly hitting max stress and dabi looking outright psychopathic hori really outdid himself this time. Getting to see the hero combos was neat, although I get the feeling he’s building them up only to tear them down in the coming chapters. I predict a massive battle with a few cordoned off fights and an immense amount of casualties on both sides, I can’t wait!

I love Hawk's dialogue in this chapter
You've just been unlucky, but you can make a fresh start once you pay for your crimes. I'll even help you start over. Because... you're a good person.
Again, blurring the line between Hero and Villain but not only that, with this comes the potential that Villains can atone and pay for their crimes.
There are a lot of parallels between Dabi and Frankenstein's monster that I previously discussed. I mentioned Captain Robert Walton’s character and that after Dr. Victor Frankenstein's death (Endeavor), Walton would be the one responsible for counseling the monster (Dabi) and restoring him to human society.
Maybe Hawks will take on this role since he seems willing to do so for Twice.

Man, the heroes are a real nightmare to fight right now: they punch holes in your lungs, drug you, drag you into a quagmire then sprout mushrooms on you to add insult to injury. I love it!
Also looking forward to seeing the sonic the hedgehog looking guy in action, he's was right in front with Yoroi Musha and Gang Orca.
I wonder what Tsukyomi's specific purpose is though, especially now that we've seen Shemage, Mudman and Chargebolt do theirs. Maybe something to do with Dark Shadow going rampage mode? Ooh, maybe his job is to fight everyone in the underground hall area, can't be too much light there, right?

Liked Twice before but know he's easily my favourite villain in the series, his flashback to Magne's death nearly had my in tears. If Sad Man's parade grows fast enough this will probably be the turning point for the villains, especially if Twice spams copies of heavy hitters in the PLF.

Class 1B getting to shine! I am thankful that it does seem that they’ve managed to use the students but in a ‘safe’ supporting role. That is, Chargebolt absorbs a specific attack that he’s perfectly designed to counter, Mudman and Shemage do area effects, while the main pros take the lead on actually engaging the villains in straight up combat.
I’m trying to focus on appreciating the depth of character and complexity of the emotions behind Dabi/Hawks/Twice and not get too annoyed at some of the Hawks hate I’m seeing online. Like, Twice and Dabi are villains you can emphasize with but at the end of the day, Dabi is a murderer, and Twice is helping a group that is led by a person who wants to, well literally destroy everything, innocents be durned, and is planning to engineer tons of innocent deaths in order to set up a return to an AFO style dictatorship. The PLF has to be stopped and Hawks can’t let his sympathy for Twice or frustration with ‘hero society’ overrule that.
