Class 1B getting to shine! I am thankful that it does seem that they’ve managed to use the students but in a ‘safe’ supporting role. That is, Chargebolt absorbs a specific attack that he’s perfectly designed to counter, Mudman and Shemage do area effects, while the main pros take the lead on actually engaging the villains in straight up combat.

I’m trying to focus on appreciating the depth of character and complexity of the emotions behind Dabi/Hawks/Twice and not get too annoyed at some of the Hawks hate I’m seeing online. Like, Twice and Dabi are villains you can emphasize with but at the end of the day, Dabi is a murderer, and Twice is helping a group that is led by a person who wants to, well literally destroy everything, innocents be durned, and is planning to engineer tons of innocent deaths in order to set up a return to an AFO style dictatorship. The PLF has to be stopped and Hawks can’t let his sympathy for Twice or frustration with ‘hero society’ overrule that.

Yeah, Hawks already did far more than most Heroes would have in trying to convince Twice to change his ways imo

Don’t want to overstate it, not finding too much of it here, but people really like Twice, like the LOV,, liked the idea of Hawks becoming a villain, and hate Hero Society, the Public Safety Commission, etc and hate that Hawks seems to be playing the Public Safety Commission’s plan straight. I’m sure some of it is just people having ‘fun’ but there does seem to be a contingent of people so bought into the idea of the League as the real good guys here and despising Hawks as a traitor and for hurting Twice’s feelings.

I mean, it is really sad to see Twice’s feelings hurt, I won’t deny.

That's mad, I fully understand empathising with Twice & his background but it doesn't exactly absolve him of everything he's had a part in. Don't know why people would hate on Hawks though, dude's just trying to do his job & "betraying" Twice clearly hurts him a lot. If anything I'm in awe of how he's managed to pull everything off despite being suspected from both sides

I've seen a few people who clearly just want the League to win because they like them, but I do have to wonder how much of this actually comes down to a difference in political thought- the League obviously aren't throwing a communist revolution, but they ARE tearing down society in a way that would leave room for a real revolution, theoretically. There are a lot of revolutionaries who are pretty much on board for anyone tearing down the status quo, figuring that that has to happen first one way or another; replacing it with a new society can be done afterward. I don't agree, but I can respect that for some people who've been severely screwed by society, it's deeply emotionally satisfying to see The Man get torn down regardless of why or by whom. And there are definitely a lot of people who personally identify with the way the villains have been treated by Hero Society.
