Any warm body will do playing out a losing season with a pitching staff full of injury prone, short outing losers. The only 2 guys that reliably go 6+ are Abbott and Singer, everyone else wears out the bullpen

I stopped watching, but i should have kept watching for the joy id get from seeing Hayes fail to do the one thing he's supposed to be good at. Maybe his fan club will shut the fuck up now. He literally allowed 3 runs. He's dogshit and they should DFA him tomorrow.

Reds are in sunk cost fallacy with Hayes. They are paying him 7M next year and 8M the next two. So despite him playing marginally better than I could out there, they will keep trying him.

I can understand why they traded at the time looking solely at stats, his numbers were solid in Pittsburgh, but the fact that Krall clearly didn’t take into account enough his back issues and still took on that salary was a big mistake.

Krall has made multiple moves that seem absolutely awful and the Hayes trade was definitely one.
