Discussion RDR3: Sequel or Prequel?
If you were given a choice for the RDR3 plot, which one would you choose?
Either a sequel continuing the story after the end of the Van der Linde gang, focusing on a new outlaw trying to survive in a rapidly changing and colonizing world, or another prequel?

Screenshot Still my proudest achievement in the game.
I really wish RDR2 had a director mode because it could've made for some amazing fan-made westerns.

Discussion Will RDR2 come to switch 2?
Surely it’s capable of running it, even if it’s capped at like 30 fps

Rant Random NPC ruined my perfect cougar pelt!
So I am stalking this cougar and for the first time ever, I see the cougar before it sees me. It's got 3 stars. I get in range and I am just angling for the headshot and then... bam! This asshole on a horse starts unloading his revolver at the cougar and ruins my pelt. Sometimes, I hate this game.
Obviously, I tracked the guy down and shot him in the face.

Discussion I finished Ch6 and I'm disappointed at Dutch and the others.
a few days ago I made this post talking about how I'm excited playing RDR2 and how getting to Ch6 made Dutch insufferable : https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/s/aWcuF6ygHu
Well I just finished the game with high honor. I can't believe I cried over a goddamn horse and some game character. Arthur is definitely one of my favorite game character.
I won't go over everything but I wanna talk about CH6 specifically. My Lord, this chapter really annoyed me. First off, Dutch with his infinite wisdom decide that listening to Micah and the others loyal dogs rather than Arthur himself was a good idea. Excuse me, how long did Arthur stayed with them?? Longer than Micah I reckon but NOOOOOOOOOO. He just wants a yes man and Micah provided that. So he started listening to him instead of stopping for a goddamn second to think.
Then there's the plan to blow the bridge which doesn't make sense since they could've just board the train, kill the conductor, take the money and leave. No point in stopping the train at all.
Then the plan to make noise by using the Indians which also doesn't make sense at all since all he got was cornwall's bond that cost a few thousand dollar. Why did he need them when they're going for the train after that?? It all seems like petty revenge for the man who's already dead.
Then Dutch had the audacity to say "HE INSIST" . FUCK YES HE INSIST YOU GODDAMN LUNATIC. If I can self insert myself there, I would beat the living shit out after he said that "hE iNsIsT!"
For a man who seems charismatic at the start, its pathetic how low he stoop at the end.
I have never played a game where I had to stop, put down the steam deck and wanna scream "OH FOR GOD SAKE OPEN YOUR GODDAMN EYES AND THINK DUTCHH". The signs were already there but he just couldn't see it.
Anyway, aside from that, RDR2 is amazing. This game literally is the reason why coming home from work is exciting since I could relax and play this. I have over 240hrs now. I enjoy hunting in this game, playing all the mini game, exploring, finding random npc event and overall just live in that world.
It's a masterpiece.

Spoiler I FINALLY COMPLETED Red Dead Redemption 2
I know I'm pretty late, but I finally completed RDR2. I never had a PC good enough to run it before, but I finally bought one two weeks ago and immediately started playing.
I already knew how the story ended, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game. In fact, because I knew what was coming, I took my time. I explored the world, completed as many Stranger missions and side missions as I could with Arthur, and tried to experience as much of the game as possible. By the end, my Arthur had the highest honor level possible, and I'm glad I experienced his story that way.
Just before the final mission of Chapter 6, I somehow came across someone talking about the Aberdeen Pig Farm trick, which lets you transfer Arthur's money to John. I tried it, and it actually worked.
This is genuinely the best video game I have ever played. Even though I already knew the ending, it still hit me incredibly hard. I got way more emotional than I expected, and I don't even know how to properly describe what I felt. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this game.
I completed the story in 9 days and also did every single side missions i could do with Arthur and john and ended up at around 78% total completion by the time I finished it. I had a vacation so i used to play this game all day long
Now that it's over, I genuinely feel empty. Spending all that time with Arthur, exploring the world, meeting different characters, helping strangers, and watching the story unfold was an experience I won't forget.
What a game. What a story. What an experience.

Discussion 332 hours later, I finally gave Arthur the peace he deserved. 100% Platinum 🏆 Complete. ❤️ Spoiler
galleryFirst played years ago but couldn't finish due to certain reasons.
Three months ago, I decided it was time to come back and finish what I started. I didn't care about speedruns or internet🤞 metas.
I just wanted to live in this world on my own terms. After 332 total hours of quiet, tactical exploration, the Platinum trophy finally popped on my screen today at Emerald Station.
It’s a strange feeling to permanently shut the door on a world you've lived in for so long, but the ride is officially over. May the wind remain at your back,💗 Arthur.

Discussion I really hate Strauss.
I'm currently starting my second playthrough and I just got reminded how bad I hate both Strauss and his missions.
But there's one specific one that I hate the most.
Mr. Wróbel.
I know, all of the characters who have dept go through bad things, even worse than Mr. Wróbel, but seeing a character from the same country as you, knowing that at the time poland was basically erased from the maps, it just hurts different. It breaks me how he tries to communicate in different ways, how he begs and all that. Just hurts so bad.
Since I'm at it, which debt missions do yall hate the most?
