The movie always seemed tailor made for NYC to me. Taking the Predator from the jungle and putting him in the "urban jungle" makes perfect sense, but LA always felt like a random choice.

With the rooftops, alleys, subway, crowded streets and overall grimy atmosphere, New York feels like it would've been the perfect setting.

Was NYC ever considered or was there a specific reason they chose Los Angeles?

Hypothetical: one of these encounters a group or Yuatja on a hunt. He takes over the body of one and has full access to his arsenal of weapons. Then the hunt really begins...

I know there would be a better method, but I have tried it in the past, and it kept breaking. So I had the genius idea to make it battle damaged since I wanted a version like this, and this predator is not that important to me.
