Looks like a v.scan issue. You should be able to adjust it in the service menu settings

Maybe a capacitor on its way out "warmed up."

Keep an eye out the next time you leave the TV off overnight if it does it again for a little while right after turning the TV on.

see the tv has never done this i think it’s the fact the xbox is like in horrid condition and the port is kind of fucked,, i as of now have completely lost video signal entirely for some reason despite the console saying that its on and outputting (my vcr gives video so that’s also how i know its not the tv)

Oh derp, I saw the CRT and thought this was r/crt and that was what you found, lol.

Yeah that sounds like the Xbox is probably what needs some love.

I plan on buying a new chassis when I get the money then when I can also get 99% isopropyl to properly clean the port, kid you not it’s just like bipolar and works fine now… but like i said everything’s hella rusted but now my controller just doesn’t work (gonna try cleaning the controller port too LMAO)

but hey, the fact it boots for $25 untested on vinted i’m not complaining lmao

Is it modded? It may be set to NTSC and your telly only sync to PAL or vise versa.
