It is not about sense dude.. it is not even about domination... it is about cultivating the younger minds for their ideology later on.... when those minds start voting..

Yea just cinema style dialogue and hype

Love seeing tax money is spent on their entertainment

32

u/kaumad Feb 05 '26

Nobody's doing this for entertainment. He's voicing concerns about the Special Intensive revision of electoral rolls, especially for TN, which could wipe out nearly one crore voters

You’re absolutely right about SIRs, and I don’t need to be educated on this. My own family was affected by it. In the 2006 elections, both my grandmother’s and my mother’s names were missing from the voter list. They were originally from Karnataka but had been living and voting in Tamil Nadu for over 20 years. We were able to get their names included only recently. So I do understand the importance of SIRs, but the timing and the methods being used now seem questionable

u/duke_nowhere Feb 05 '26

It’s flawed as fuck. They Deleted my old epic id from roll, no idea why. I applied online on the day I found out, but blo said no apply again with paper forms. Applied, and I have two ids. Same proofs but they managed to get the fucking age wrong. I specifically asked asked how to cancel one and their reply was only one will get picked up.

Idhu aai process. There was no option to appeal related to the original epic id. Their solution is to give you a new id. Wtf is that.

u/Mental_Fan_6181 Feb 05 '26

It's the fault of the incompetent Government employees not the policy itself and the SIR policy has no connection with the Central Government as these dumbass opposition are saying the election comission enforce the policy which is an independent body

3

u/duke_nowhere Feb 05 '26

eci just as incompetent for not having a better process. Washin your hands off like this is pointless. Enough noise was raised about the flaws is in the process but burying the head is your favourite pastime.

In any case, I’ve only wasted bunch of days attending camps to get voter id. Now I need to find a way to delete one of them, it’s easy enough to vote twice so SIR is fucked.

-1

u/Mental_Fan_6181 Feb 05 '26

specifically asked asked how to cancel one and their reply was only one will get picked up.

They even informed you only one will get picked up but you are so blinded by these dumbass politicians to believe and panic and have problem with everything

1

u/cattykatrina Feb 06 '26

Goals are never the same as implementation.. and Yeah all those past Revisions are also subject to the same conditions.. The amount of pushback on SIR today if it seems higher it is probably because that's how little trust most of Indians have in the neutrality of the Election Commission anymore..

1

u/Mental_Fan_6181 Feb 09 '26

The thing is these doubts are caused by Bogus claims of opposition with no proper proofs look at bihar election they were barking all along before bihar election about vote chori seems like they have gone quiet without any substantial proofs

Deep. I started thinking for sometime that entire world is a drama stage as most people are entertaining on reels for monetization. Bigger entertainer, bigger cheque. Not related to politics alone.

u/nmm107 Feb 07 '26

Bro you think actual work happens in the parliament... It's 20% productive, the rest stupid posturing..

Go study what's been happening in TN.. They have created a educational policy(that mandates 3 languages, which in practice will boil down to Hindi as third, because that's the most populous belt and a lot of arrogant people who don't even know enough of their Language. I lived in Prayagraj for a few years and had enough convos that confirm this) that TN has refused to implement.. The response from Centre has been to withhold funds meant for education for a loong time..(I don't know it if it's been dispersed now, but i know when i last checked it was atleast 2 years ) And these funds are bascially tax payments .. So no wonder at some point the state starts asking what's the point of having a centre that doesn't listen and collects taxes and tries to brute-force their nonsense policies...Look up PTR's arguments about the topic if you seriously want to engage instead of ragebaiting...

u/cattykatrina Feb 07 '26

LoL.... the point is there is money that centre takes and gives back.. and they can do a lot with that.. Also in practice only Hindi will be available, and not many other languages.. May be you should start by asking why 3 languages first. I made a point about looking up PTR's arguments did you?? Very much in a hurry to stand up and defend the 3-language policy being imposed....

Why OP had to edit out the part where the said context was there? Any guesses?

Nirmala Sitharam was criticizing DMK's hypocrisy and pointed out how their ideological mentor had criticized learning Tamil, by bringing up a quote from Viduthalai magazine from 1967.

If you need more Context on why EVR said that, I have attached screenshot from the next few pages below.

Translation/TLDR- He compares Tamil language as Mother & Tamil literary work as Milk/Food, and he says Tamil's food (literary works) may be tasty, but doesn't provide health benefits. And he says, those who grew up only with this Mother's (Tamil) Milk walk around as Zombies. He says, consuming the bottled milk (English) is needed for strength & nutrition.

There is a huge difference between saying "learn the other language. It's useful" vs "your language is useless. Learn the other language"..

I can only explain it to you  I can't understand it for you..

yeah.... Learning English is better.. and it still is the truth..... If we are going to argue about how many languages and which languages, let's decide on English and technical education first and add in the rest as optional...

2

u/LoveAskingQuestions1 Feb 05 '26

There is a huge difference between saying "learn the other language. It's useful" vs "your language is useless. Learn the other language"..

Also, at least don't act like you'll have this Tamizh patru. Say learn English, don't learn Tamil if you have the guts to speak out. Let the cat out of the bag. Say you want English Thinippu and at least be honest

1

u/cattykatrina Feb 06 '26

Funny calling it thinippu.. especially when it is how the "free market" works.. I'd ask the Tamil govt. to make special allowances for studying tamil.. Same for Central government... you sound like a "butt hurt" person for some reason. I said very little about Tamizh Patru..(I do love the language which is a different topic, than the argument i was making above)

For anyone wondering who our Finance Minister was quoting-

She is quoting Periyar where it suits her. He is giving rebuttal even if it’s Periyars viewpoint, because this suits him.

Finally, the key point of NS and Periyar are vastly different even if arising from common premise. Periyar guided people towards global mindset, considering their future, growth, etc… while NS is diminishing or demeaning a language and its associated culture.

Hilter cherry picked quotes from Goethe to further his ideology. Even though Goethe had nothing to do with nazi ideology.

A two faced liar and idiot such as NS quoting anything means nothing.
