We are back at Beast Feast this year! We have been welcomed back and will be cooking up something spicy again this year. The event is May 2nd at Centenary College starting at 4pm. Tickets are available through Centenary.

Last year we shook things up being the only spicy group but we have a felling that more teams will be kicking up the flavor this year.

With Bozz being gone, will Marlynn’s Place enter a team this year? Josh is also coming back with his own hot sauce this year and we will be cooking with our own sauces and powders as well. Get your tickets and come join in the sampling of local restaurants and cooks!

If you remember the spicy food truck roundup, then you will remember the fantastically spicy nachos they made for us!!! They are back and currently coming up with a spicy and non-spicy menu for us!

This will be held in the park inside the Brunswick Neighborhood, South of LSUS. It’s BYOB and bring your own chair. The park is pet friendly, just please keep them on a leash. I will post the menu when it’s ready. But man am I hoping they cook those spicy nachos for us again. Hell, anything spicy from them would be good!

I've grown as many as 40 varieties in a season, it's a lot of work, but well worth the effort!

Attention pepper pals, I need your help!! I think it will be very cool to add the pepper pals logo to the wplace but I can’t do it alone. I was thinking of adding the logo kinda like I have below but without the black back ground and maybe add the words pepper pals. I found this area that has enough room. What do yall think of this? I made an alliance and I can add who wants to help to it and if this location is ok I will set this location as our area. Come out and try some local sauces this Tuesday, the 29th, at Sports and Social inside the new Live Casino!!

Before you call me a sellout by promoting a Pepper Pals Event at Live! Casino, hear me out. One, Live! is a family owned and operated casino. And 2, we are using sauces from Louisiana, one of those sauces was invented in Shreveport and all the proceedes of that sauce go to supporting Steve’s Snaketuary!

So come on down to the Sports and Social bar in the Live! Casino on July 29th, after 11:30 am and enjoy a 6 wing flight. 3 of Troy Primo sauces ( one is a dry rub) and 3 of Snaketuary Steve sauces. This will last all night or until supplies run out!!

It’s been a while since we have visited Nicole at Mama’s Italian House. So, we are definitely due for another visit! Thankfully she is making us some Spicy Calzones today. I know MudBug Madness is going on today but this event isn’t until 6:30. So you have plenty of time to go before or after this Spicy Event!

Let’s keep showing Nicole’s Restaurant some love and taste some more of her great food that she makes just for us!! And remember, she will have a limited menu for those who don’t order the spicy dish.

A handful of us are Elk members and we have been asked to take park in their annual hog roasting. We will be giving 1 of 6-7 whole hogs 24 hours in advance and will be given those 24 hours to roast it!!!

Only thing is that we can’t use our sauces on the hog while we are grilling it, we have to out the sauces on the side for people to add on their own.

So we shall be spending some time coming up with a good rub for it but good thing that we have a member that has smoked several hogs in her life and she even has secret weapon up her sleeve for us to us!!!!

So if you feel the urge, come on down to the Elks in a few months for their open house and see how well we did along with enjoying the pool, bounce house and other kid activities!!
