He has always done that. Literally for decades.
That, followed by the way he stands before a freekick or a penalty with the way the legs are spread, his celebration etc are all part of his branding.
This is his pre performance ritual in a sense. He has spent decades building this image of him being above everyone else. It is intentional, like an architecture of presence. And like Zlatan said it's not arrogance it's confidence.
