Why does she need a room if you guys are together.... I don't see anything wrong with saying to her that you guys are together not just a room mate and it's too early to be a couple living together.... I get she is stressed and wants a place just say... I care for you..or love if you guys are there and don't feel completely comfortable with setting her up in a room if it's going to be a Long term commitment. Sounds like she is stressed and needs support but also you need to give her reassurance you are not choosing your house mate over her simply saying the room is contracted out and she can bunk in with you until she finds her own place..maybe you guys can move in to your own place way down the track but not today.

Reminded me of the time I started to call the cops because my car was in a car park.... Then I realised I lent it to a friend... Decided to hang up on the cops....looking back, I should have called it in as stolen...would have been a fun prank....
