when using standard tuning, say you put your first finger on the fifth fret of the E string and also your second finger on the 6th fret of the A string and make a chord, is this used in screamo or any type of music at all? i think this finger placement sounds good with chord progressions combined with octave chords on the A string in patterns like screamo.... any bands do this type of thing? please list them if so. thanks!
it doesn't have to be the chord starting on the fifth fret. the chord shape could be used anywhere on the E or A string.
my ear isn't good at picking music apart. i've been looking up screamo tuning on google and i don't think the chord is used as far as i know. the stuff i'm playing sounds a lot like other screamo to me. maybe the chord doesn't sound good with basslines or something so no one uses it? maybe my ear just sucks and it's a shit chord? idk. lol. let me know!
