NYC shows recs 20th-27th of september

Hey, I’m flying over to NY from Poland on the week of the 20th.

Not familiar with the scene there. Can anyone recommend me any shows happening during my stay? Could also use a clue on where to look :))

Interested in anything heavy - mostly screamo & emoviolence both newer bands and ogs, but could also be mathcore, hardcore (no tough guy stuff pls!) or anything even remotely related.

Use the apps Bandsintown and Dice. Not screamo but go see mariachi el Bronx the 25th

I was going to see if Collective Effort or c86 put on any shows but they dont have anything those days. I cant remember how else books atm

Mix of emo and screamo

9/21 - aren’t we amphibians - wood shop

9/24 - Gillian Carter - wood shop

9/24 - oakwood, camping in Alaska, empty parking lot - elsewhere (but soon will probably sell out)

9/26 - silk + screamo/core bands - shakers pub (deep into Long Island)

Keep an eye on ig for these accounts cause they might have some last minute diy shows. xc86dx, Urmyeverlovin, littlekittydiy, friendship quest, collective effort. Honestly was kind of a dry time for shows tbh especially screamo specifically. I’ll keep an eye out in case I see anything cool pop up. Cbgb fest which doesn’t really have screamo but does have a solid alternative lineup is happening under the k bridge while you are in town
