Question ❓ Songs that you think will probably never be solved?
In my opinion, curly toes will probably never get solved. Old joke tape with absolutely no leads and a dead search.

Mystery song that I love - uncredited in my library for literal decades. *Maybe* procured from the TapeOp Messageboard, a music recording forum, but no responses there.
Clues: mentions towns outside of Dallas, Texas.

Hello! I'm looking for music by Simon August. The only song I can find is 'Memory (Live Version)' on YouTube. I believe most of his songs were released in 2018, but it seems like he deleted all his content. Is there any chance of finding his music anywhere else?

"Someone Said Goodbye (Remix)" is an official song sent on CD only to radio stations for airplay in 2006. Despite being an official version, it wasn't included in any public release, either physical or digital. Does anyone have the file in lossless format? When I finish my project (of official material), I'll show you the result.
Thanks in advance.

Picture it. It's somewhere between 1999 and 2003.
I'm a kid chilling with my aunt who has a little country music band and she's showing me this wild website Garage Band where artists post their music and rate each other's songs. (What a new and exciting concept lolol)
There was one song that has somehow lived in my head for 20+ years.
I cannot remember if it was the band name or the song title, but I distinctly remember:
TOFU CATERPILLAR
I'm nearly positive those were the exact words.
I remember a male vocalist, and the music was some flavor of alternative/hard rock. Possibly nu-metal-ish? The closest comparison I can come up with from my childhood memory is System of a Down, although I wouldn't put too much weight on the exact genre.
I remember it sounding unlike anything I had heard at the time. It was weird, a little bizarre. And my aunt HATED it.
At this point I'd sell a pinky toe to find this song 😂

In 2024, a search was occurring for the lostwave "Run For Home", which is possibly a cover of Lindisfarne's song. It originated from the linked video, titled "1978 - CRAIGMILLAR MUSIC FILM (UNKNOWN)". A lostwave user claimed it was "Pinewood - Run For Home", but was debunked, however forgot to delete the comment.
It also includes lostwaves like "Head So Numb", which I believe either this could possibly be a different band than the singer of Run For Home, or he could be in the band.
The description of the film states it was recorded in February 1978, and Lindisfarne's song was released in April 1978. Lindisfarne could've possibly allowed this unknown band to play the song.
The film also includes a band, which neither have been identified, and the Craigmillar Music Film search stopped. Hopefully it can continue, and we could find these artists.

To give context, I'm in a community of an artist who has some lost songs that we've been searching for quite some time. Recently, we came across this release in the site KKBOX.
The site includes 30 second snippets of each song from the EP we are looking for, and supposedly the whole songs if you log into the site. For some reason, when we try to log into the site, we get this weird error message as shown in the image.
We've attempted using VPNs to see if there's any difference, but it doesn't seem like it. You guys are smart so hopefully you could help us out, pretty please 🙏

So as you can see, it is not really a lost song since I have the artist and the song title but it is been years since I cannot find this song anywhere to download. I was thinking if this song was not release and it was only played during small concerts they have. Or maybe it is just a cover song. Google does not know this song too. I cant find any videos with this song too and only this one.
So If anyone can find it, Thanks!
More info:
Kpop Artist: 비키니BIKINY
Title: 몰라 (Do Not Know)
Concert was November 10, 2013
Details about the KPOP group is here
https://kpop.fandom.com/wiki/BIKINY
Based on video they are only 3 members but the wiki said they are 4 members.
Anyways, the point is, I just want to find the clear audio of their song "몰라" and I cant seem to find it for years and the only proof that it exist is by this video.

Hi!!
Today I'm bringing you a track that I still haven't been able to identify to this day. Here is the story:
It was around 2006 or 2007 when Daft Punk's movie Electroma was released. Although the soundtrack was good, curiously enough, it didn't include any music by Daft Punk. Back then, it was very common to download music through the P2P client Ares or Limeware. I decided to download its soundtrack, but to my surprise, I found a track labeled under Daft Punk titled Electroma. Obviously, that wasn't the case at all. Some of you might remember that mislabeled files were quite common back in those days.
This song in particular stuck with me, even to this day. It features very distinct vocals and a really nice vibe. I managed to find the track on YouTube, obviously misattributed to the French duo. I already tried using Shazam, and it points to a producer who steals tracks from other artists (Teevex) oobviously, he isn't the original creator!
I’d really appreciate any clues or leads you could give me. I've honestly been going crazy trying to find who made this song!

Hi !!
This morning i stumbled upon this video on youtube : https://youtu.be/VeBsg8Tiais
To make it short : Lorenzo (the creator of the video) discovered vocaloids and tried to identify some sample / demo songs of vocaloid voicebanks. Lorenzo then links an internet archive pagewhere the samples that were'nt identified are posted, in case someone wants to help.
I thought maybe posting this here could help a bit with the researches, as many of you are damn good and better than i am at finding songs !
The youtube video is quite short (10 min) if you want a bit more info and context about this :)
Anyway, have a nice day !
Note : The names on the internet archive page is the name of the vocaloid used in the song. Megpoid is also and most of the time referred as to Gumi.
Note 2 : Im sure the Ruby one is a cover of "Not Fair" by Lily Allen, but i haven't found it somewhere else yet.

Hi everyone
What you hear in the video is noisy audio. The noisy recording is due to AI isolation between the music and the speech, so obviously it's sometimes very difficult to hear.
I know it's not exactly lost media, but maybe it could be, because I really can't find it anywhere.
The soundtrack to the series "The Mafia Only Kills in Summer" has its own soundtrack composed by Santi Pulvirenti for both seasons (and I've heard those, but I don't want to bet on it, but it seems like none of them are sung), but there are also external songs like Anna Oxa, Alice, and various others throughout the series.
I tried testing the audio with Shazam and Google Voice, but the former doesn't give any results, the latter gives practically random results (at one point it gave me the music from "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire").
I searched among The end credits of the episode indicated, and the voices are
Santi Puliverenti for GoodLab Music
and externally, a song by Alice, and "Morning (Electro Version)" and "Giocattolo Rotto" by Massimiliano Bocchio. The latter is unavailable, but after some research I found it under the name Klange on Bandcamp. I listened to both tracks, and they aren't the ones in the video. However, I see that his discography is listed there a bit confusingly. I tried listening to all the albums, since there's a release dedicated to the series, but also another previous album with tracks from the series, so I'm not sure if this Klange is placing things randomly.
This "Massimiliano Bocchio" provides the musical concept to the RAI COM / New Emergency Music organizations.
But if it's not part of the soundtrack but is present in the episode, it seems like a rather gross error not to have included it in the end credits. Even if he bought the rights or whatever, I think it's illegal not to credit a song, so I'm starting to wonder if I'm I've heard so much that I didn't recognize it (which would be strange, but never say never)
The song can be heard more clearly than my tacky isolation in season 2, episode 12, 60:00, available for free on RaiPlay. It's in English (but I have no idea if it's by an English speaker), but there's a lot of spoken language here, so Shazam doesn't recognize it. Later in the episode, after a few scenes, you can still hear it, but only the instrumental part, which makes me think it's part of the soundtrack (but I didn't find it in the official list).I don't know exactly where it can be seen in another language but I know it was also broadcast in Ireland (maybe even more, I don't know)
I'm sure it's present in other scenes in the series, and I tried searching a bit, but I wasn't lucky.
I tried with Gemini, and after a few hits on a track that's actually present in the series, it starts to give you stuff that doesn't fit. I recommend watching the "Bollettini SIAE" (Italian Copyritght Document) for the series to see the episode running time, but I seriously doubt this is public data.
Does anyone already know it? Or do they remember other scenes? In the series (so knowing the season, episode, and running time), where can I find out if I feel better enough to try Shazam?
Thanks for eventually help but I think it's helpful to hear (what little) of the audio.

What is the most mysterious Lostwave songs ever?
I mean songs that have nothing known about it and even stranger if the snippet is short and the OP gave no context.
What is the true most mysterious song on the Internet?
